Red Line Diner

This is the first time we have been to the Red Line Diner. When we arrived it took a little time for somebody to come and take our order, but once our waitress came over it was really good from there. She was a wonderful waitress. I had the corned beef hash and sunny side up eggs with hollandaise sauce and sausage and bacon on the side. See photos below. It was very very good. Perfectly cooked eggs!! I know that it is hard to find in a restaurant. I also had orange juice and coffee. Their coffee was very good . It was so good, I had 4 cups. 😲 He had stuffed french toast with strawberries and whipped cream and perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs with bacon. The food is very good and great quality. I will definitely come again, and I strongly recommend this diner. Not to mention their dessert case is absolutely mouth-watering.

I like diners; I love great diners. I love the Redline Diner. Very cool retro style atmosphere. Generous portions of classic diner favorites. Breakfast is always a winner and you can't beat their bakery. Gyro Omelette was packed with meat and veggies. Friendly staff that does a great job taking care of customers. Lisa was waiting on the counter and did a top-notch job.

I had noticed that this diner was very close (as in walking distance close) from the hotel at which I was staying. I was immediately impressed by the elegance of the decor, and was surprised to see so many staff members' faces; because of a recent New York State mask mandate lift, now restaurant staff have the OPTION of whether or not to wear a face covering that covers the nose and mouth. I might have difficulty getting used to this, but I digress. In the meantime, the customer service I received was very good, the food was delicious and the coffee was very good. I was also a bit surprised at the prices; I AM from New Jersey, the diner capital of the United States, so not really accustomed to seeing prices so high. However, given that there were so many tables filled up the night of my visit, there are plenty of people who are willing to pay them. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience.

Never had a bad experience here in the 11 years my family has been stuffing our faces for family date night, birthdays, midnight pancake-breakfast, lunch, brunch, congratulations-on-any-and-every-thing. Huge menu, fair pricing for the value, always fast and politely served. Gy-normous portions. Right on Rte9 can’t miss it. Lots of parking. Wheelchair accessible. Enjoyed their 2021 Christmas Eve feast of 7 fishes. The pre-fixed menu that night was priced just right with serving sizes enough to take 1/2 home for a full meal again, which is usual for most of their everyday meals. I tip 1/3 of the bill every time, I’m so pleased with the quality.
