The atmosphere is small town Texas with friendly service. The frog legs were huge and best I have ever eaten. The gator bites however were little to salty and tough. I would return here and try other things from the menu..

This is our go-to when we come to the river. Amy gave great service today. The southwest burger (cooked medium) was delicious and spicy! Love the crunchy waffle fries too! My husband enjoyed his chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes.

Never been to Luling and wanted to try something new. Tried Blake's and I was not pleased with the quality of food. We ordered the Alligator Bites for $7.89 and it was a portion equivalent to a kids 4 piece nugget from McDonald's. My Grilled Chicken was under cooked and the Baked Potato had two spoon scoops of butter in it. My Salad never came as well. Not on my list to return.

Our waitress reacted quickly & offered to bring me something else. I ordered a chicken fried steak which was amazing! Flavor, texture, size AND Price!
I couldn't eat it all but would order it again!

We recently took some out of town relatives here. Fantastic. Great chicken fried steak, burgers, fried pickles and catfish. Outstanding service. Friendly people. Great time.

Very old building with original fixtures. It was a furniture store for years and a roller rink. The poles from the rink are still there. The food is marvelous. Very generous servings and very tasty. I had chicken fried steak that was hand breaded , not the frozen kind like you get in some places. We will go back.

Enjoyed a good home cooked meal on our trip east. Comfort food with good choice of veggies. Chicken fried steak with gravy. Nice batter on fried zucchini. Plenty to share with spouse, too.
