Luling Bar- B- Q

If you are looking for an amazing BBQ restaurant, you have to try Luling BBQ! When you walk into this gem of a place, the strong BBQ aroma overtakes you and you know you are in for real Texas BBQ treat. They really know true BBQ as they have been around for over 40 years and are definitely worth the drive to Luling. They have tender mouthwatering brisket, delicious fall off the bones ribs, sausage, chicken and turkey. In addition they have an impressive array of side dishes to chose from including broccoli slaw, scallop potatoes, potato salad, green beans, cole slaw, beans, etc. My personal favorite was the broccoli slaw. They also had a good selection of pies. Highly recommend!! Definitely worth the drive from San Antonio.

I ordered the ribs, brisket and sausage. The smoking on the ribs and the brisket was impeccable. They lack flavor oh, but I couldn't tell if it was from poor meat or the rub wasn't very good. The customer service was great, by the nice lady at the cash register and the man slicing the meat was helpful, also. The sausage was excellent. I hate to leave a poor review from people that were doing their job, and doing it well, but in a barbecue place it's about the flavor. I will give them another try, next time I'm in the area. It could be just the quality of meat that's available.

Passing through Luling and decided to stop in for some BBQ. I am glad that we stopped. The menu was straightforward and you have the choice between a sandwich or a plate. I had a brisket sandwich and a 2 meat plate with chicken and sausage link. The plate came with two sides and I went with greenbeans and potato salad. I thought the BBQ was delicious and it paired well with their house made BBQ sauce.

We visited here on a Sunday. My family had hoped to go to Central market but it was closed. So, we settled for this place and we were pleasantly suprised! I tried the ribs, the brisket, and the jalapeno sausage. The brisket I was given was from the flat and very lean. Had great flavor but was a touch dry. The ribs and sausage were outstanding! The star of the show was their mustard based bbq sauce! One of the best sauces I've ever tried. I bought a bottle to take back home to Oklahoma. If you're in Lulling id highly recommend giving this place a try! P.S. My only major complaint was the disposable silverware they gave us. The sausage had such a good snap on it but the silverware was too flimsy to cut the sausages!

It was quick and easy some bikers were there with some cool bikes I used to sell split hides on the side of the road in the Grand canyon so I spent a little time out front that gentleman had benches and split hides for around $300. I should have got the combo plate so that I could tell you more about their delicacies and when I saw the brisket I decided that was the way to go so I ordered the sandwich and he asked me if I wanted to sliced or chopped. Well I'm at bearded weirdo and so I went ahead and asked to have it chopped only to be served to scoop out of the heated trays. Live and learn it's Texas BBQ I'm going to get it sliced and chop it myself from now on. Some of the best barbecue I had said you don't need no teeth to eat our beef.
