The Bean Bar

The bean bar has a great selection of menu items, I was feeling a chicken sandwich and cheesecake. Our waitress was super efficient with service and informative about the menu. The digital menu was easy to use and designed well too. On the sandwich there is a huge breast of chicken covered in crispy panko crumbs topped with pickles, grilled onions and Chipotle aoili. Tones of melty cheddar cheese slid off the chicken sandwich each bite. On the side was sweet potatoe fries with chipotle aioli to dip in. The other meal is fish & chips. For dessert there is plenty of cheesecake choices, went with cinnamon roll cheesecake and it was drizzled with vanilla icing swirl. Finished off with a latté frothed up to the brim with a floating coffee bean pair!

Nice ambiance and great food... great drink menu too. I ordered the fish and chips which I wasn't crazy about. Nothing wrong with the food quality in any way, just my personal preference. I took a chance on this... I prefer very minimal (thin) batter and this wasnt like that. However, the cooking of the fish for having a thicker batter was impressive. Nice crunchy exterior and the fish was not over cooked and still light and flaky. I got gravy on the side which was a lighter gravy and a nice change from the cafeteria gravy a lot of places serve. It made the already good fries even better. The people I was with enjoyed their meals thoroughly. I believe they had the thyme and mushroom chicken, and a burger.

Staff is super friendly, food is incredible and very unique, the cocktails are exciting and the atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. Definitely worth the price, I highly recommend this restaurant. They also have a great vegan/vegetarian selection if you're looking for a new restaurant with those options. Try the truffle fries, you will not be disappointed.

Came in mid-afternoon on a weekend and found the service to be lackluster and something to be desired. It took about 30 for our order to be taken, in an empty restaurant. Once we finally ordered - fish and chips for my self and the thyme and mushroom chicken for my friend - we found it tasted very good. Food was hot and fresh, and portions were good sized. Hopefully when we return service would be better to make this into a 5 star review. :)
