Sidestreet Pho

Oxtail pho $15 - delicious! Went here for lunch, it was perfect for the frigid weather outside, warmed me right up with its delicious broth, meat & noodles. I also had added, veggies for an additional $3. Perfect amount of food if you're ravenous. Look at how pretty the pho looks with the vibrant array of colorful veggies on top. Oolala!

It's very welcoming. It may be small but not loud. Good place for any type of date. The menu is great. So much to choose from. The plating is beautiful. The food taste great. All veggies are really fresh looking and tasting. Customer service is excellent. This is my first time here. It will be a favorite place for future visits to Alameda. I've shared what we have ordered. I also have included the pictures of the menu. Also a picture of how much it cost for four of us. Please come try this place. It was a very random spot we chose to eat at before going to the beach. I have never heard of this place. It should get the recognition it deserves. (Side note: The restroom was extremely clean)

This review is only for the dessert. We always miss out on dessert and decided today will be different. We ordered the mango and green tea slushie. They were both really good. The mini mochis were soft and chewy without being overly sweet. There were a lot of ppl eating pho and other Vietnamese dishes. I would def come back again. Only street parking available. Sometimes u may need to circle a couple of times around...

The food tasted good, but the employees had masks hanging around their necks instead of over their noses (indoors) and the manager told me I was welcome to not come back when I complained about it. They also totally messed up my dip sandwich (no dip) and thought they should just take $3.00 off or replace the dip, when I could get back, which was hours later, after the sandwich was no longer good. I eventually got my sandwich replaced, but it wasn't easy and the woman I was told was the manager made it VERY clear that she doesn't care about the safety of her staff or customers or about ripping off customers. So good food, but nothing special. not worth the health risk and nasty manager who doesn't care about things like health codes. Call me crazy, I like to eat places where people follow codes to keep me safe. I don't care how good the food is. These people are dishonest and a health hazard to the community.
