If you love sweets, you'll love this place! Why did I go: My friend highly recommended this place. So I had to pay it a visit. Parking: They do not have a parking lot, so you have to park on the street either right in front of the store or in the neighborhood right next to the store. It's an easy walk and so worth it! Prices: Well worth it! Customer service: They were super friendly, helpful, and nice! Food selection: They have a good variety of ice cream flavors to choose from. You can either eat the ice cream by itself, or you can have your choice of ice cream flavor placed in between your choice of two huge cookies. They also have a good variety of cookies to choose from. What did I order: I ordered matcha ice-cream and double chocolate chip cookie. It was so good! Will I go back again: Yes! Maybe even later today.

As delicious as we remembered from our last visit 4 years ago it made that much of a lasting impression. Ice cream has great flavor not overly sweet. The cookies are the next level they even put Grandma's to shame. Great customer service also.

Good ice cream with different flavors done well. You can just get ice cream or cookies or you can combine them to make a delicious custom ice cream sandwich. The flavors are good and well done, much better than the popular CREAM. They don't have any seating inside and once bench outside where someone had spilled ice cream all over, so have another destination in mind to take your ice cream somewhere because not a lot of seating available. They didn't have the black sesame the day I was there which was disappointing but it gives me a good reason to go back! You can also take home pints as well as getting single serve ice cream.

Delicious as always. Both the Alameda & Oakland locations are always clean, with friendly staff, and excellent ice cream & cookies. Pretty good value, too. I'm glad I can't walk to these places, they're dangerously good!

So obviously this place can be compared with CREAM in Berkley. But I prefer Cookiebar more for the following reasons: 1. It's close to my house! No more having to drive all the way to Berkley for just a sweet craving! 2. No crazy long line out the door and wrapped around the corner! 3. The cookies are room temperature (at leat when I went at night) so the ice cream isn't melting faster than I can eat it. I was able to enjoy it slowly without the mess! 4. Friendly staff that lets you sample the ice cream AND the cookies! While it is a bit pricier than CREAM, the portions were HUGE (look at my ice cream sandwich!) so I think it's worth it. Plus, I figure I end up saving the money in gas. There is a smaller variety, but eh, too many options tends to overwhelm me when I'm in a hurry.

Super delicious ice cream and very creative flavors including: banana Oreo, fruity pebbles, and chocolate peanut butter pretzel. You can get milkshakes, cookies, Malts, ice cream, ice cream-cookie-sandwiches, and sodas. It was a lovely clean environment and the service was very friendly! Will come again next time I’m in alameda. The one problem was no seating inside, but there was a nice bench outside.

I love this place! My favorite thing here is an ice cream sandwich made with hot cookies. Cookiebar has a nice selection of ice cream, from old favorites to the more epicurean. It all has a fresh, clean flavor. ‘Cept for the cookies. I like me a down and dirty dark chocolate cookie. Best combo? Strawberry ice cream with aforementioned chocolate cookie. How sweet it is! This is a great place to take guests. The food is awesome, the staff of hardworking, cheerful, local high schoolers are sweet and the Mayan blue walls with the rich, tile patterned floor make for striking photo momentos. ...and they are a local, independent business!

Awesome flavors and smooth ice cream. I'd definitely recommend the cookies and cream. I surprisingly wasn't a huge a fan of the fruity pebbles flavor, but the staff was extremely friendly and patient with us trying flavors.
