Whiplash

The first visit to this place. I am from Manhattan, KS. Walked in the first thing i noticed. It's clean. Ladies...notice.....Clean Bathrooms. The people are very friendly. Bartender made me feel welcomed right away. The owner is great. I'll park my ride here anytime. I will come back. Drink prices are good. It's a great day!!!!

I have known of this place for over 10 years, and one thing you can expect is a great atmosphere offering friendly service. I was first introduced to this spot when my mother in-law brought my wife and I here, and I must say for a small joint we had a damn good time. Prices are good, and it is a clean place to chill every time I come in. If you've never been, it's definitely the smallest, but small packages have a big surprise.

Went there for the first time to watch the Shawn Ward band tonight and it started off good but then it definitely turned into a regulars only bar as the waitress avoided my buddy and I when we tried to order a beer. (She was flat out rude) Guess there’s plenty of other places to get a beer where the barmaids are a bit more friendly to new customers. Definitely not a place for outsiders and that one stereotypical local yocal guy in the bar who tries to be the tough guy, well this place has that guy - lmao 😂 Great band though!

A friend and I went in on a Tuesday night to get some practice on their pool tables. It is not a place I've been to in a long time and the only reason we went there was due to active pool leagues at our usual places preventing us from finding an open table. As soon as we walked into Whiplash I knew we wouldnt stay long as there was heavy cigarette smoke in the air. I was pretty shocked and figured (hoped) maybe someone had exhaled a long full of smoke after coming from outside. But within a few minutes, a lady at the bar casually fired up another cigarette, refreshing the already thick smoke that permeated the air. I normally wouldnt care/mind, in fact, I used to smoke myself even though I have asthma. But I was still recovering from some type of lung sickness, with bronchitis like symptoms, and it was hard to breathe. In either case, its against the law, and the bartender allowed it, which disgusted me. Even though we stayed long enough to play one game and left, I kept the smell of smoke on me for the rest of the evening. Again, I was only there for an open pool table, so I doubt management will care that I will not return.
