Steak 'n Shake

I used to come to this location all the time with my family, and the last three times I have gone they have messed up my order. When we were here (the very last time I will be going for a long while) they gave us one regular chicken each (on a kids tender meal and an adult three piece tender meal) and two crisp nuggets of basically just fried batter, and once again didn't put cheese on my regular cheese fries. They proceeded to 'fix it' by coming out with a singular regular chicken tender (not for each plate, just one in a cup) and I kid you not, a singular squirt of cheese sauce in a side cup. The manager couldn't even bother themselves to be the one to deliver such an insult to me and had another employee do it for them. Poor guy knew what the manager told him to do wasn't right and looked upset to be the one handing the supposed fix to me.

Update 2022: They revamped service. Self Sevice Ordering for indoor dining or to go. It is simple and streamline. Food is cooked fresh and comes quickly for the average sit down dining experience. Self Refill station for drinks. We enjoyed a relaxing Father's Day meal. Everyone got a meal and shakes and enjoyed fun family time. They finally have a good cook in the kitchen. The servers are excellent as always. If you go at a busy time, it may take a while to get a table and food. Love the burgers.

My husband and son went here yesterday. My 10 year old son ended up getting food poisoning from the chicken and has been very sick since. We called today and spoke to a manager and all she could say was "what do you want me to do about it". We were not asking for any refund or anything from them. Just simply trying to inform them that they have an issue in their restaurant. DO NOT eat at this place. Clearly they don't take public health seriously. We have filed a report with the health department.

Well where to begin... So after being closed for two years to indoor dining I was glad to see they were open again. However now you have to order from kiosk, no waiter; you have to pick up yourself, again no waiter; fix your own drink, served in red plastic basket, no silverware, all that and you get to spend about 40 to 50 % more. Food was as good as ever and place was newly remodeled, but overall was extremely disappointed. I know help is an issue but it seems they could have paid their employees a few dollars more an hour, saved on the hundreds of thousands of dollars spent to remodel
