Tijuana Flats

Let's start off with the positive. The service was great; for the reason of the 2-star rating. Now on to the negatives. The chicken wings were not cooked properly. We asked for the wings to be extra crispy (well done) which it did state on the receipt. Let's just say, they weren't well done. I'm very iffy when it comes to chicken. I took a bite of the chicken, and noticed it still being a bit pink. So I immediately threw them into the Air Fryer, to finish cooking them properly. Next, the chicken quesadilla taste pretty mediocre. For the selling price, I was expecting a "WOW this is GOOD!" But I responded with, "ehh". My friend said the same about his burrito. That is all for the negatives.

The young lady at the register was polite and nice. However, I think my issue was the wait time. I'm pretty sure I had to wait on my order for close to an hour. I would see if the place was crowded, but it was not at all crowded. There were a few people there but had been served for the most part. The odd thing was that several people ordered (mind you, they entered after I'd placed my order) and somehow got their food much quicker. I was tempted to ask about my order, but I decided to just wait and see. I should have opted for the former. When they finally got my order to me, I was a bit upset on the inside but tried to maintain a respectful demeanor. I figured that the wait would be the end of it, but that was not the case. The food was just barely warm. I should have checked before leaving, but I figured that it would have been warm since it was brought out after Lord knows how long. I've dined at a Tijuana Flats before and ordered to-go on several occasions (not at this location) and haven't had an issue like this. Not sure what it was, but this was a lackluster visit. It'd be one thing if I waited for hot food, but this was not the case.

Let’s start with the moment I went to place my order the girl was extremely rude! I repeated my order and asked her to confirm and she said yes that she had all of that. After 40 minutes of waiting for 4 dinners they come out wrong, missing things and some of it even cold. When I told the staff I was missing items instead of getting those items I received a very nasty attitude. I use to love it here but I will never be back after today. This is worse than McDonald’s service. Food quality is 3/10

I honestly don’t know why I keep giving this location a chance. I can’t count how many times I wait for my food that’s already sitting in their to go shelf. The young lady that helped me today said she was going to let the kitchen know about my order change and then went to go sweep around the hot sauce bar. It wasn’t until she caught me staring at my own food on the shelf that she stopped her sweeping and grabbed my food to correct the issue. Terrible customer service at this location and quite frankly the price gouging is not worth the quality of food at any of the locations anymore. Just sad. I remember when you could go to Tijuana Flats and feel like good about your purchase and experience, now it feels like I’m doing them a favor going in. Go at your own risk

My boyfriend and I ALWAYS go to any nearby Tijuana Flats, we have come to the Riverview location a few times. This trip we bought a bowl, and it came in a container half the size of the bowls they usually serve. Usually we feel we get a lot for what we paid. However, this time we did not. Nice and cold inside, nice outdoor seating. I hope this new half size bowl isn’t reoccurring.
