Bojangles

Drive through experience- very polite greeting and good customer service while taking order. 15 min wait for white meat which wasnt a problem so they had us pull up to the white line after paying. 20 mins after ordering, still nothing. Husband went in… they forgot the order!! Had to go back in a second time because they forgot part of our order then get home to dirty mush, not dirty rice. Very disappointing.

I’ve rarely had such a lousy experience. I walked in to place my order. There were two people working the counter. I was told to wait. One person was working the drive through and the other was stacking cups - I was waiting so she could stack cups. There were no cars at the drive through and no one else in the place. The chairs were literally on top of each table. They were not closed or close to closing - I guess they don’t want indoor dining. Whatever. There was no reason I had to wait. But wait I did. If I wasn’t starving and hadn’t just finished 12 hours of driving I would have left but I was exhausted. Both workers disappeared. After about 10 minutes one came back to take my order. She was not very pleasant, no greeting, nothing. I ordered two pieces of chicken with mashed potatoes and a drink. I handed her a $10 and was told my change would be only in quarters. I ended up using my credit card. She slammed the drawer shut and took my card. It took an unreasonably long time to get my food. She just kinda threw the box on the counter. I asked for a bag. Anyways I went outside to the outdoor table to eat. One piece of chicken was almost burned. It was very tough. The other was very small and unappetizing. I realize not everyone is bright and sunny all the time but this encounter (I would say service but…) was really disappointing as was the food. I hope my experience was an anomaly. If not then these workers probably need some training on how to best interact with customers.

I tend to like visiting Bojangles when down south, since we don't have access to them in Yankee territory. The chicken is usually tasty, moist, and tender, as was the case here, even if it does sometimes induce what I've nicknamed the "blojangles" later in the day. Now, granted, we did visit at absolute lunchtime, but they were slammed at this location. 10 people waited in line. The drive-thru was packed. The restrooms left much to be desired, especially the women's room (according to the wife). The trash was overflowing when we went to leave, but they were changing it out right as we started to leave. The tables were somewhat sanitized, but they felt quite a bit greasy. The staff was overworked (honestly) but still did a great job of continuing to be cordial under duress. All in all, we were there for the food, which was every bit as good as many other locations.
