Visited Carvers Timber department today - the service was excellent and Carl who helped me couldn’t have done more, he even offered recommendations about how to treat the wood etc. Nice to see there are people out there with good customer service skills that care. Will definitely be visiting again!

I've been to carvers many a time but really only go now for Auto Gas.
They ahve the cheapest Auto Gas in the area at usually 69p a litre.
Very friendly and knowledge staff and always smiling what ever the weather.
Also a great place and reasonably priced building products.

Very helpful and patient assistant. I must have spent a good ten minutes with him in the timber section before I decided on what I finally needed. He even went and cut down the long lengths I needed and to also fit in my car.

Excellent Builder's Merchants. Extensive range of products. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Nice coffee shop too.

Couldn’t fault this impeccable team at Carvers. If only we had a builders merchant like this in London hence the worthwhile road trip up north to Carvers. Would definitely make the trip again. Great selection and reasonable prices and top draw service. Thank you!

This is an amazing place. You may find almost whatever you need for your projects. Products are good, there is a large choice and prices are reasonable. However, the five stars mostly relates to the Staff. They are extremely courteous, well informed and helpful. I would send employees from other companies to Carvers for a training about how to behave with customers!

Excellent quality goods. Had to wait to speak to Steve as he had another customer but his knowledge & advise in the design of the bathroom was excellent.
