One of my favorite places to get coffee in Wilmington. Staff is super friendly. The coffee and food is great. There's no drive-thru, but they have a walk-up window where you can get your orders to go.

Small, unique and removed from busy area. Its really a perfect spot for rainy days or cold wintery ones. Staff did a great job, place was very clean and the coffee was amazing. REALLY FRESH COFFEE.

I have been going to this Cafe for over 2 years now and the service has never change, in fact, it has gotten better. Every time I come here, I'm greeted with a warm smile and a genuine friendly hello. They always make me feel like part of the family and not a cash machine. You guys are the best and I love you all!

This is a great coffee shop run by excellent staff. Sadly, I only like the Costa Rican Tarrazu and Brazil Natural, but to my misfortune they hardly ever keep those in stock. Tired of drinking House Blend all the time and having to drive to many of the other locations to find the particular coffee I enjoy. The Brazil Natural is the best tasting coffee I have ever had the fortune of drinking. I also looked into having my favorite coffee shipped to my house by purchasing it from their website. Shipping costs more than the coffee does! $12.01 to ship locally with UPS ground! Not paying that when they can ship it via USPS Priority and it will only cost $4.60 since the bag of coffee only weighs 12 oz. and the cutoff weight for priority mail 13 oz without having to pay more for shipping. Will update to 5 star once they keep those flavors on deck!

They have some great staff at this location. They're quick and friendly. I'll often stop in for an Iced Chai Tea. Most of their drinks are offered cold or hot, all you need to do is ask.

I love this place! I stop in a couple times a week for a morning cup of coffee before my day starts. Everyone behind the counter greets with a smile and sometimes you're even treated to an impromtu song :)

Great coffee and friendly service combined with a relaxed, homey atmosphere make this a go to place for a quick break or even a longer one. It can be crowded on weekdays, especially before work, but slows down a bit on weekends. The iced coffee here is especially good, though you are unlikely to be disappointed with any of the espresso drinks. If it has a weakness, it's the food offerings. It's fine for muffins an scones, but I wouldn't make Port City Java my first choice for lunch.

Great atmosphere and crowd. Barista was fun, energetic and kind. Fireplace!!! Reasonable prices and variety. Coffee was nothing amazing, but exactly what I wanted.
One downside: a little louder than expected music and machines.

Very good coffee and muffins. Recommend the "Healthy Harvest muffin. You will not be sorry. Good parking, outside tables,chairs. Not easily seen from either Shipyard Blvd. or Independence Blvd., but located in small shopping area at the corner where both streets intersect.

Nice medium sized coffee shop with a local atmosphere. The staff are really friendly, and the building itself is nice and well kept. Only complaint would be the drinks, while nothing wrong with them, they don't quite stand up to some of the competition. Would definitely recommend as an occasssional alternative to Starbucks
