Port City Java

I have been going to this Cafe for over 2 years now and the service has never change, in fact, it has gotten better. Every time I come here, I'm greeted with a warm smile and a genuine friendly hello. They always make me feel like part of the family and not a cash machine. You guys are the best and I love you all!

This is a great coffee shop run by excellent staff. Sadly, I only like the Costa Rican Tarrazu and Brazil Natural, but to my misfortune they hardly ever keep those in stock. Tired of drinking House Blend all the time and having to drive to many of the other locations to find the particular coffee I enjoy. The Brazil Natural is the best tasting coffee I have ever had the fortune of drinking. I also looked into having my favorite coffee shipped to my house by purchasing it from their website. Shipping costs more than the coffee does! $12.01 to ship locally with UPS ground! Not paying that when they can ship it via USPS Priority and it will only cost $4.60 since the bag of coffee only weighs 12 oz. and the cutoff weight for priority mail 13 oz without having to pay more for shipping. Will update to 5 star once they keep those flavors on deck!

Great coffee and friendly service combined with a relaxed, homey atmosphere make this a go to place for a quick break or even a longer one. It can be crowded on weekdays, especially before work, but slows down a bit on weekends. The iced coffee here is especially good, though you are unlikely to be disappointed with any of the espresso drinks. If it has a weakness, it's the food offerings. It's fine for muffins an scones, but I wouldn't make Port City Java my first choice for lunch.

Nice medium sized coffee shop with a local atmosphere. The staff are really friendly, and the building itself is nice and well kept. Only complaint would be the drinks, while nothing wrong with them, they don't quite stand up to some of the competition. Would definitely recommend as an occasssional alternative to Starbucks
