Jitterbug Cafe

Found this place to be rather unwelcoming. Went with a larger group and asked if we could join tables, answer was simply “no” you are not allowed to move them. We ended up some sitting inside, some out which was fine because some like it hot and sunny and some don’t. Food was quite good. You younger woman brought all the food out to us and was quite cheerful and welcoming. Older woman behind the counter looked quite annoyed that we were there. Even though the food was good we won’t be rushing back there. Attitude towards your customers is what keeps them coming back, or not.

Having never been here before, I was unaware of how it worked (you order your food and pay at the counter and they bring it to you). There were no signs indicating this protocol so I entered and stood behind the line, waiting to be seated. The two girls behind the counter just stood and stared at me. I asked if I could sit anywhere and then they told me about having to order your food at the counter. I did this (was disappointed that they don't do poached eggs or have turkey bacon), got my coffee, and sat down. At this point, the girl yelled at me across the restaurant "You have to pay!". In front of everyone, very embarrassing. I was expecting to be brought the bill later. Food was mediocre. Would have expected more kindness and direction as I was a newbie. Other customers were treated much more kindly. Also no condiments (salt and pepper) All around a weird and disappointing experience
