Applebee's

I had not been to the Topeka Applebee's. This was my first-time visit. my husband and I were visiting at lunchtime on Friday. It was a busy time ( we went there around 2:00 noon). But luckily we got the table very soon. The server was polite and good at taking care of us. We ordered chicken quesadillas for appetizers. It was so delicious and had great flavors. My husband ordered a hamburger and I ordered sirloin. Both are so scrumptious. Inside the restaurant was so clean and comfortable. They had nice comfy chairs and dining tables. Also, all over the table was clean. I recommend this Applebee's at Topeka.

Waitress Olivia was great. They were super busy, wait time was 30mins plus but staff was upbeat and happy. My other half, my 3 kids and myself had a great experience. Once we were seated we were checked on lots of times and whenever we needed more drinks or anything else they were right there with them in no time.

Food and drinks were really good overall! Our server, Duncan, wasn't really great. After he brought our waters and took our orders, we asked if we could have a minute to look at drinks. We weren't able to get his attention to order our drinks until after our food had arrived. He never checked on us and one of our steaks wasn't completely cooked. He also brought us our check without talking to us, and we were planning on ordering dessert. He then took the tip off the table before we left.

Took a long time to have our order taken. Waiting quite a while to get food. Eight employees were around one table eating and having a good time while we waited. Finally got the 4 cheese Mac and cheese and it was just Alfredo sauce. Our waitress seemed to be the only person actually working...thanks Rose.

My husband took me out after work to Applebees so he could use his gift card. Our experience was terrible! Not even Half Full on a Monday night at 5:30 Good reception at the door when we arrived and seated quickly. We ordered and it took 15 minutes to get our salads. Lots of staff, mostly doing only the minimum, except for the one staff who was sanitizing and the booths. Manager was on his phone a lot, or only talking to one older couple at the bar. We were there for over an hour. Waitress brought our meal and didn’t return until after my husband was out of water for over 10 minutes. When she came back she asked if, everything was still fine, and I had to ask for the water. The steak was Ok , but the Burbon Chicken and Shrimp were both over cooked! Then we were held captive for over15 minutes after we finished until she returned so we could ask for our ticket. Atmosphere is dark and depressing, food is nothing spectacular, and service was dismal.

Staff were too busy chatting with each other. I was only person at bar, there were 2 others at a table. This was 2 weeks ago before KC playoff loss. Staff actually suggested that Buffalo Wild Wings would be a better spot to go. The staff outnumbered customers 2 to 1 but that just made it convenient for them to talk

Bad experience we ordered orange chicken bowl and the picture had rice in it, but when we got it there was no rice. We asked them if there was supposed to be rice in it, but they said they don’t serve it with rice. We were even given a picture of it with rice. We saw the girl look at the picture and even look at us after. Yet she didn’t come apologize for not giving us rice. This experience was absolutely appalling. Other than this the food was good.
