The best Japanese food around. Since moving to the Tigard area 4 years ago, my family and I have never come across a better home style Japanese food. The owners are lovely, the food NEVER disappoints, and they have a great sake selection. Takeout or dining in, I won’t spend my $ anywhere else. Including a photo of my delicious soft shell crab tempura because we ate everything else too fast!

Absolutely exceptional Japanese food. I've been to dozens of restaurants in the area and this is one of my favorites. I highly recommend the katsu don, a delightful bowl of lightly breaded fried pork, onions, rice with dash of sweet/savory broth, topped with a cooked (or optionaly Japanese style) egg. Absolutely delicious!

Local favorite. It's also nice to see a majority Japanese people here. The staff has always been awesome, friendly, and extremely polite. Beaten out only by the quality of the food here. Try the buta kaku if you enjoy some pork belly and my favorite roll is the dynamite for taste, but the dragon roll for presentation. Beyond that, there is nothing bad here and the house sake is quite nice I thought. Be ready for a bit of a wait if you go during peak times, they get busy within 30-45 minutes after opening, so if you're in a rush, be there when they open.

First time eating here and it was because I was having a sushi hankering and all the sushi-go-round places close by 9 at the latest. I was surprised: this place has some really fresh tasting sushi, the yakisoba (see picture) noodles was pretty good, and you'll love their cucumber water, it's very refreshing. I'll come back for the water alone haha. The price is a little steep for some of the dishes, but if it's an emergency and you need some sushi, I recommend this spot.
