Olio

Absolutely LOVE this place! This is my second time here and everything was as delicious as the first time. The food and drinks are outstanding & the staff is very welcoming and polite. You must try Mayte’s Margarita and the Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna. For sure one of my favorite places in Stamford! I will be returning very soon :)

The food was absolutely divine. While the ambience itself is not all that, the food more than makes up for the disappointment of the place. Edit: So since I loved the food so much and the staff was wonderful, I decided to go back for brunch with my Nana ... BEST. DECISION. EVER! I think I missed the initial concept of simplicity the owner was going for. I actually love the bright lime walls as well as the accent glass pane that actually defines what "Olio" means and where it is derived from against the dark wooden furniture with off-white seats. In short, I don't believe there is anything on the Olio menu that isn't great, and that is not an understatement. Absolutely scrumptious!

I visited on a week night, sat right away and was tended to consistently throughout the evening. Really good service, and the waitress was very attentive. It’s a pretty small space, small bar with a nice ambiance and decor. The food, OMG! Very delicious, packed with so much flavor! We ordered the blue cheese salad with fried pork belly cubes as an appetizer, so f’ing good!! I ordered the NY Strip Steak 🥩medium rare w/ mash potatoes, caramelized onions, asparagus etc and OMG it was to die for! No steak sauce needed! My partner ordered the chicken parmigiana I believe? Not sure but she really enjoyed her dish. All in all I highly recommend Olió, and I would definitely visit again whenever I’m in the area!

We lucked out on a Friday night as we stopped in for dinner for two without a reservation. It was our lucky night as they had one last table which we were promptly seated at. This cozy restaurant has a good reputation for great Italian cuisine. We very quickly realized that this is the real deal and the chef, Steve, is the Chopped Champion of 12/7/2017. We enjoyed the Crispy Octopus Salad as it had great flavors and textures and was delicious! Our entree’s included Spaghetti & Meatballs (veal/pork) which was very good! The Rigatoni Pescatore was so delicious and only a hint of truffles. We ended the meal with Tres Leches Cake and Latte. We’ll definitely be back soon! Next time with reservations!

Came here with my husband for dinner and it was great. It's not a very spacious restaurant, it's cozy and clean. The food tasted amazing. We had the local burrata, wellington half chicken and the cream brulee. Everything was so tasty and it was sufficient for the two of us. Definitely would recommend this place if you are looking for something a little fancy but not completely formal.
