Depot Bar & Grill

Depot Bar and Grill in Springfield was a pleasant surprise. It features upscale food at affordable prices. Our starter was a delicious smoked salmon dip with freshly fried tortilla chips. The salmon was chunky and we'll season with just a hint of dill. I got the chicken salad, which is chunky breast meat combined with pecans, grapes and celery. The side order of sweet potato fries were hot and crisp. My companion got chicken picatta, a deep fried chicken breast topped with a lemon artichoke sauce with capers. The Depot has nice cozy dining area where you can relax and enjoy a great meal. I look forward to returning.

I have been coming here for many years, even have had company Christmas Parties here in the back, but the food is always great & well worth the wait. Everything I’ve ordered was good. Also order in when we don’t have time for a sit down meal. The carrot cake is sooo good. Family friendly & also an adult only bar area. All of he server’s are super nice.

Can I leave 10 out of 5 stars?? Sitting here at the bar of this restaurant and had to write this review right now because I am so blown away!!! I came here after a 12 hour drive across country. I was exhausted and starving. Not only was the food AMAZING (I had the roasted duck quesadilla & the cesser salad- yummm!!!) but the staff truly made my experience warm and rememorable. If I lived here, this would easily become my go-to local spot! Good, warm energy and a local taste in the food. You cannot pass through Springfield without stopping at Depot!! Worth the wait, which they usually have, because everyone has figured out that this is the place in town to go 😊

Flavor is fabulous ! Servers are very amicable. Third time here- love the duck salad and Texas tails. Pretty sure the chef doesn't know the food came out cold- changed the whole experience. Great place but be sure to ask kitchen not to pull the food too early so that wait staff doesn't have to serve cold food .

We have dined at thevDepot for years and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We were hosting a catered event and took bids. The Depot was not only competitive in price but the food was absolutely incredible. Doug and his staff were extremely helpful and explained every aspect of the process. I will definitely use them again.

Update: Ate in person and had an awesome time, outstanding service... our Server that started with a I., he was fantastic. We drove from Westmoreland just because I craved that chicken parm. The spinach artichoke dip with homemade chips was phenomenal. Hubby's steak was on point and our salads were excellent! This was a snowy day so we got there around 4 and it wasn't busy. I accidentally parked a little double due to ice I couldn't see the lines. So someone else parked on my door and I couldn't get in {thanks to the little black car} :( But anyways it was early & we didn't think they were going to be that busy. I was wrong. One by one the place filled up & was slammed. Great atmosphere! Love the little lights on the tables! A little pricey but blows Olive Garden, Chop House & Cheddars out of the water, so it's worth it. And now I know if ordering drop PFD, to ask for utensils 😊 Good food, ordered through food delivery app, but we got zero utensils! How do you eat chicken parm without utensils? Walked to HG hills and bought some and went back to Dark Fired Vapors and ate my yummy food. Have some care and thought for your customers 😁 every little bit helps.
