It's a small restaurant. But keep in mind that this is the first El Paso in this area. It's a piece of history and a wonderful experience. I not only enjoyed my food, but was provided with a healthy portion. My Birria Tacos were stuffed to the max!! Really feels you up! My wife got the smothered burrito and she couldn't even finish it by herself. I had to help her; which I didn't mind at all. We will be going back with our family to eat more delicious food very very soon!!!

Happened on El Paso by accident as we were traveling. Best birria tacos I have had in my life. Tequila drinks were on point. Any time we are in the area we will be going again.

The only strike against El Paso is the salsa. Kinda plain. Otherwise, this is the best Mexican restaurant we have tried in Northern Virginia. We were heartbroken when their Centreville location closed. So, we have to drive 40 to 50 minutes. But it's worth it.
What brings me back is the Enchiladas Nortenas. Pork carnitas served on top of cheese enchiladas. Delicious!

This review is only for the tacos, especially el tablazo of 20 tacos. They are so good and the price is unbeatable. The beans and rice that come with the tablazo is also really good 👍🏼

The food was delicious. We didn't wait too long for our food. We did have to wait for our drinks and the chip bowls to be refilled, which made it a little frustrating, but the waiter was kind and took care of it once we located him.

I came in here for dinner, the service was super friendly and fast. The food came out a few minutes after I ordered. The Spanish rice was rather bland not really any flavor. The chicken was cooked well but again somewhat lacked some flavor in my opinion it might just be what I’m used to. The queso on my meal was decent there were times where it kinda tasted like nacho cheese and then it went away. The guacamole and sour cream with the salad was good. Overall it was an alright spot, a little pricey for an order of arroz con pollo was $17.99+ so not bad but definitely not worth the bang for the buck.

I had the Super Nachos. So good! The nachos are made well and piled with ingredients (not hors d'oeuvre style, thankfully). My bff had the birria quesadilla, and it, too, was delish. The white queso (with chorizo) is good and doesn't taste like it came from a can, but it's a little thin for my taste (not too thin). The salsa is not spicy at all, which was kind of a bummer for me. It was like eating pico de gallo with crushed tomatoes. The food came out just minutes after the queso. Staff were friendly. Prices were fair. My only real gripe was the too-warm temperature in the back of the restaurant where we were seated, the waitress never refilled our water (we were there for about an hour) and took a long time to bring the check, and the unsightly cracked pleather seats in the booth felt gross against my legs.

Really delicious food for a really good price, big portions too. Was seated very quickly, and staff was attentive and very nice. Seated indoors, but outdoor seating is available.
Our cocktail presentation (the cups) were very fun, the cocktails themselves were just good.

Always great food and service here. I had the diablo burrito, which was very spicy as expected, but also had a tangy taste, like the vinegar in bottled hot sauce or pickled jalapenos. Not my favorite dish but still pretty good and the presentation was playful and fun. The beer on tap is always super cold, and they make a great skinny margarita. The only thing this place is missing is a bar/lounge area.

What a coincidence! I'm from El Paso, TX, and I find a Mexican restaurant by the name of El Paso! Any doubts that El Paso, TX is the Mexican food capital? Back to the restaurant, it is very nicely decorated and the people working here were friendly and efficient. The food was excellent, tasty and filling, very close to authentic Tex Mex. Good for the Washington area. As another reviewer stated, there were a lot of Hispanics here, so they know what they like. Good margaritas, too. If you like Mexican food, go to El Paso.
