Steak 'n Shake

I am here around 1:30 pm on a fairly busy Monday and ONE amazing young man named Michael is doing ALL the cooking. He is awesome. Has a great attitude and pleasant smile, in spite of cooking for online, drive-through and in person orders. One tiny waitress is caring for inside diners… again, all by herself. They both deserve a raise and a week off with pay!

The overall experience was okay. I got the 3 chicken tenders with fries and a chocolate shake and it wasn’t that bad. The chicken tenders were warm and tasty with the ranch, but the fries were real thin. I’m not a fan of thin fries but they were fine, I don’t really recommend the cheese sauce..the milkshake was really good but I did find a piece of hair in it. The ladies were not wearing nets and only had their hair in a bun…this is the place to go if you’re in a hurry or on vacation.

I guess it's just that time to find a different steak n shake. Yes if your able to catch Mrs. Crystal and Mrs. Vanessa then yes you are more like to get accurate and a correctly cooked meal, if not you may just think twice. Fries are completely soggy and under cook. Please just cook the food correctly. If you don't want to work at steak n shake or serving customers is a problem then maybe steak n shake if not a job for you. We as customers should still receive sometime of service. I understand we may have been through a pandemic but nowhere does that mean to treat paying customers with anything but customer service, kindness and respect.

Worst experience ever. I would give 0 stars if possible. First of all we waited over an hour in the drive through start to finish with only one car in front of us that ended up just leaving after waiting for their order to be taken for 30 mins. When we went up they said they’d be with us in a minute and we waited about 15/20 before we just ordered online and went up and got their attention. This is the first time we actually got to talk to anyone and they just told us your food isn’t ready we said okay and waited for another 30 and they finally came out with our food and when we checked the bag we only had one out of two meals so we finally got their attention again and waited another 15 for them to make the other meal we ordered online so long ago by the time they gave us our food the first meal that came out was cold but that didn’t matter because all the food was greasy and disgusting anyways.
