Smashburger

I’m torn. As a chain Smashburger deserves 5/5, but this location 1/5. This is what my mean looked liked, the food and presentation was great. However my experience at this particular location was awful. I ordered a gluten free bun and it wasn’t until I was halfway done and started feeling sick that I realized the bun wasn’t gluten free even though I was told it was. After admitting their mistake and apologizing the manager said “well I hope you feel better and this didn’t ruin your day too much”. Ok but what I wanted was a refund, instead I was refunded $1 for the gluten free bun charge. At this point I didn’t push it and just left. I included pic of a piece of the “gluten free” bun, you can clearly see it was the egg yolk bun and not the gluten free one

The burgers are great and the staff is friendly. My only complaint is that both times I was there I wasn't asked what size fries I would like, since I thought there was only one size. Also, on my second visit, i ordered the buffalo wing burger and it tasted like a normal burger with a little buffalo sauce and waaay too much salt. My boyfriend had the same complaint about the salt and he asked for no onions and still received onions.

The food is always good at Smashburger. I love the fried pickles here and being able to create my own burger. This location is super clean and the staff was very friendly. Love that this is right in the village though so it offers a little different option to the many seafood restaurants in the area.
