Just discovered this little gem and the burgers are amazing. Hub Cap Grille has a nice deck (handicap accessible) and a wide variety of custom burgers from which to choose. Their drink selection is impressive including many craft beers as well as their very own sodas with stuff like Vanilla Cream Soda, Root Beer, and lots of others (pic provided). Service is fast and friendly!

My wife and I love this place. The burgers are great. The meat is thick, not thin, and full of flavor. The buns are large, not the little kind most places serve. And there is a great selection of different types of burgers and toppings. Nice atmosphere outdoors on the deck or in the dining room. Try the Craft beers on tap as well. UPDATE: I recently found out that the Hubcap Grill is moving to my town of neighboring Seabrook at 1918 NASA Pkwy. Looking forward to this!

I've never had a bad burger here. So simple, but I love that they actually season their meat. Not dog friendly, but would definitely recommend to anyone if they're in the area.

Simply Awesome. I used to go to the downtown location when I worked about a block away but it was packed and I was on foot. This location is somewhat closer to home and has a much larger menu, still about 30-40 minutes away. The downtown location is open 11-3 only and down the street from Minute Maid Park.. I made my order and received my food in about 5 minutes. I sat down on the bench and enjoyed the Kemah scenery while savoring the food. I got the Texas BBQ burger with Texas Fries minus the onions with a Mexican coke. Never had Mexican coke before but it has real sugar in it. It was a bit pricey but you get a lot to eat. The burgers are about as big as Whataburger, as in diameter, but has thicker patties and plenty of toppings. The fries is a nice big pile covered in toppings. A fork is required to eat them. I really look forward to my next trip to the area so I can stop in again and try something else.

Great burgers. My friends and I always luck out and go there when it's beautiful outside. They serve beers and glass bottle sodas. The burgers are a good size and go ahead and treat yourself to a side of fries, it's worth it.

I had a mushroom Swiss burger with stinky fries. The burger was huge and was the best burger that I've had. The stinky fries have malt vinegar and garlic on them. They also are delicious.
We very much enjoyed our meals there.

Solid burger joint. I think this is better than tookies which is down the road. I ordered the philly cheese steak burger, and thought it was great. Wouldn't say it's the best burger I've had, but will revisit on occasion. The patio area will be nice once it warms up.

There are many good dining options in the kemah area if you are willing to leave the boardwalk. Hubcap grill is among this great food options. The burgers are good and they have a good craft beer selection as well. Definitely worth a visit and it is only a few blocks from the boardwalk.

Very good food. Home made everything, lots of cool options, just a little pricey but they were definitely worth it. Two people could easily split a burger and fries. I tried to eat my hole burger and fries and failed. Now I can't move.

Best damn burgers I've ever had other than my dad's!! They're expensive but so worth the money, I could hardly finish half a burger and I was plenty full and got to take the rest home. Can't wait to go back!!

Interesting burger. Peanut butter. Keep an open mind it's good. Primarily outside so if it's raining or hot be aware of that. Different and good. Decent canned beer selection too. Tea options are good but I don't drink tea

This place has some of the best burgers I have ever eaten. I personally had the Philly burger and I cannot wait to go back and have it again. They do have a little bit of inside seating but mainly the seating is outdoors.

Great burger, fresh, flavorful and cooked to perfection. The sweet potato fries are amazing, delicious and thick cut - the way they should be! Decent beer selection for a burger shack. Will definitively be back.

The food was tasty (try the sticky monkey if you're adventurous, it was great!), selection of beers was good, not a lot of indoor seating but that's probably party of the atmosphere.
Husband could not finish the double decker burger: it was huge! Sweet potato fries were good, bacon cheese fries were just okay. Going during the week is nice because you'll have the whole place to yourself.

Dropped in today after meeting the owner, who was very humble about the quality of his burgers. We didn’t order any fancy burgers, but what we ordered (bacon cheeseburger and mushroom Swiss burger) were unbelievable. The homemade French fries were really top notch. A must when in the Houston!

The best burger joint downtown, with affordable prices and humongous sized portions! I'm making my way through the entire menu but no matter what you order, you won't be disappointed. They only take cash so come prepared, and since they're only open during lunch hours prepare to wait as the line can get pretty long! Outside seating in the alley and a few small tables inside, so it's not truly a place to sit and mingle. Get in there, eat, get out and make room for the new customers coming in.
One tip: They don't put anything (lettuce, tomato, etc) on the side, so DONT ASK. I was accomodated ONCE, and that was their good deed for the day (Which I truly appreciated because it was gonna be a while before I could enjoy my burger and I didn't want it to get soggy)
All in all, great place! Give it a try!

It's fun to have to order at the outside window and sit out on the deck to watch the passers by. They have a really good beer selection and while the burgers have interesting topping choices, there are better burgers to be had nearby.
