Denny's

I rarely make reviews but …. But there were only 2 groups in the building (that already had food) and our entire tables food was very overcooked to the point that it was inedible. The waitress was not only rude to us and we are a very laid back small group of 4… we had to ask for refills after stirring a while waiting and still waited about 10 minutes to get refills….

So I decided to try this Dennys this time because I usually go to the one on the west side. I'm a travel nurse here on contract so I eat at various restaurants all the time. I usually don't post reviews but felt the need to this time. So I stopped here to eat on the way home from work expecting a pretty good experience( as I've always had) I was seated in a booth which was in the middle of the floor which was cool. The waitress that was serving that side kept walking past me as if she didn't even see me sitting there. I observed an older white male came in and sat directly across from me. She came to my table asked my drink order and my order. She Finally went over to ask for his. He got his drinks and proceeded with his order and I'm still waiting on the drink. About 10 minutes later he received his order. So I'm still sitting here with no drinks or food but she's walking right past me. I'm still waiting and she finally brings the drink.Meantime I'm still waiting on my food. An hour has passed. Several people has entered after me and ALL have gotten their food except for me. So I asked another waitress kindly will she check on my order. She checks on on it and confronts the waitress about it. Long story story I know but the waitress never bought my food to me the other waitress did. I left trying to understand what exactly just happened 🤔 she's native I'm a black person, was this some form of prejudice? I hate being biased and I don't usually get into the racists stuff. Make it make sense though...

I ordered the Salmon dinner. It was absolutely terrible. The fish was overcooked, dry, no flavor or seasoning, the vegetables were paper thin and overcooked and the amt served barely filled a teaspoon, I couldn't eat it. They did comp the meal. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak, it had a weird flavor and no seasoning. Mediocre at best. Service was non existent.. Our server never checked on us or refilled our beverages.

We walked in and were seen but were not acknowledged by host or wait staff. We were a party of five. Another party of five walked in and were immediately taken to be seated. A single man walked in and was acknowledged and told that they only had 2 servers and the wait for a party of five would be 40 minutes. He said he only had 2 in his party and they told him the wait would be 20 minutes and he could sign in for a wait list. I asked if the table he had just sat had been signed in on the wait list and THEN the host acknowledged me and said No and then asked if we wanted to sign in. No, no thank you. We'll take our business elsewhere.
