El Sombrero

It always seems like Mexican restaurants are pretty much the same everywhere. But I'm going to tell you I have not had a bad meal at El Sombrero! I love steak quesadillas and most restaurants serve grisly steak in all of their meals. I have no idea what meet these people are using but the steak was absolutely perfect very tender and was almost like prime rib. I've never had any steak from a Mexican restaurant even close to this. I can't say enough about it I can't wait to go back and get it again. I highly recommend this place. It has both indoor and outdoor seating and the outdoor is heated and covered so it is comfortable pretty much all year long. Sometimes the service is a little slow but that is my only complaint. We always enjoy the food here.

The salsa was great but the service was disappointing. Maybe I got the 1 server who was having a off night. He behaved as if he was already clocked out and we weren't a priority to him. I hate to give the entire restaurant a bad review due to one server. The food was good. It seemed like all the other servers made sure there customers had everything they needed with out needing to ask. It goes to show the saying one bad apple... Can be very accurate in cases like this one.

This was the awfulest food I have ever tasted & the rudest waiter I have ever encountered in my life. First of all, we had to get his attention that we were ready to order our food. My son's burritos was swimming in some kind of sauce that was thin as water so he had to eat them with a fork. My husband ordered Steak and shrimp, and the cook or whomever prepared the food there was NO SEASONING!!!! The shrimp was suppose to be placed on top of the steak but it was underneath....He never came back to the table to ask if we needed anything(napkins,more chips,salsa,etc) My Texas fajitas were awfull(dry). Just a horrible experience on a Saturday evening when we had been out all day shopping and enjoying the nice weather. When we went up to the cashier or manager to pay, he never asked us about our dining experience or anything..Not even a THANK YOU!!!! This whole group of people is in the wrong business(customer service). I wish I could give them 0 star..
