Taco Del Mar

One of my favorite fish taco stops. Love their white sauce on anything. Get the breaded fish in corn tortillas and make sure you pick up a reusable tumbler for a beverage this time and next time (free refills every time you go). One disappointment, the side of refried beans and seasoned rice was not great. I could tell they had been sitting in the serving bar for a long time and they were sadly lacking in flavor....

I was trying something new, my first time at Taco Del Mar. I was greeted by a young lady Jessica upon entering. (Good first impression). She was alone and during lunchtime and did pretty well taking care of all customers n being patient and polite. Well I did get my order and headed home and was thinking why didn’t the place have an additional person to help during busy time.... maybe the owners didn’t care! Food was good and will be back. Thank you Jessica you did great!

Place was clean and nice interior. Service was lacking. No smile from any staff. Staff told us that its a subway but for Mexican food (like with a disgusted tone and facial expression)after we told them it was our first visit. Food was ok but chips were not good. I watched staff be very short and rude to a customer behind us, mainly the reason i even wrote a review.

Very clean and very friendly staff. However, food is so terribly bland... Almost all the Yelp reviews reflect this, but I didn't believe it. I even tried the hot salsa on my burrito, but there was still no flavor in any of the ingredients. Not the worst that I've ever had, but definitely one of the most tasteless burritos ever -- and that's saying something.

Horrible. Food ingredients are very low quality, and taste is not good. Servers were rude and unprepared for business. We walked in to this location dead at 12:00 o’clock. My GF went to order, and requested a chicken taco. The server informed her that the chicken was not ready yet, and gave her no estimate when the chicken would be ready. I asked her when it would be ready and she said “I don’t know, Ill have to look at the machine.” then proceeded to just stand there expecting us to order something else. I then requested ground beef on my taco and she tried to give me shredded beef. She asked me if the order was for here and I said yes it was. She then asked me if the order was together. When I went to pay for the food she put the order as to go and rudely says “I heard for here.” and also acted suprised and goes “together” as if the order was supposed to be separate. Where is the management for this location???? Seems very lacking in leadership. Way too expensive for the poor quality ingredients are very low quality. Do better.

I went to the taco del mar location at 34th & williston road in Gainesville, FL. This is the best location that I have been to. The staff was friendly and efficient. The dining area and kitchen were very clean and the employees were washing their hands regularly. I got a wet burrito and it was delicious. This experience was worthy of a positive review.
