Urban Eats

Overall I would rate my overall experience 4 stars. Urban eats is my go to for lunch in DeWitt. The salads and Sandwiches are always so fresh. The dill dressing is by far my favorite dressing of all time. The one time my online order wasn’t ready on time, they made it right immediately. However, I’m not sure I’d recommend the prime rib dinner. In their defense we did get it to go. My husband and I got the prime rib dinner on Friday 6/17. We both ordered it medium rare, both were well done. The texture was not right for prime rib. It was also on the dryer side, probably with the way it was cooked. It was almost the texture as of it had been cooked earlier in the day and it had sat in one of those catering things that keeps food warm. The mashed potato’s that came with it had great flavor and were seasoned well. The Au ju that came with the prime rib was different. It had an Italian seasoning taste to it. My husband liked the sauce, I wasn’t a fan. Lastly, I’ll talk about the asparagus (since we all know the salad is the bomb). The asparagus was cooked well; however, it was quite bland. I ended up dipping them in the sauce. I do think it might be worth it to try in restaurant to see if there is a difference in quality. I would recommend this restaurant overall for lunch 100.

Fantastic food, atmosphere is perfect. You walk in order, and they make it right in front of you. Simple menu for lunch, that is exactly what I want to see for a lunch menu. I had the pulled pork sandwich. Tender, and very flavorful. I got to talk to owner and the Chef, Sam Voss. Very friendly and made me feel like I was at home. I will be back with my family for a weekend dinner to try the prime rib.

This is a nice place for lunch, the salads are loaded and big enough to take some home. If you like blue cheese, get the Cobb, Loaded!However, the crab/clam chowder does NOT have real crab in it, as I was told, it is imitation. So, that’s why the lower star rating. Other than that, I won’t hesitate to come back.

Service was great and the workers were friendly and fun to talk to. The food was great. Had the prime rib and potatoes and would definitely come back to try some more. The baked goods looked tasty. Alright, tried the cherry cheesecake. It was delicious. It was smooth and creamy and the cherries weren't too much, just enough to give a bit of sweet tartness into the creamy cheesecake bite perfectly.
