Dragon House East

Always reliable quality food. Quiet, elegant atmosphere and cloth table service. Been a fan of Dragon House for years. Not a fan of them closing off sit down dining. Dragon House east has now added a pass-through window for pick up service. I found this out by trying to go to lunch there. I am /still/ not a fan of their lack of sit down service. I got lunch elsewhere.

Don't waste your time, hunger, or money. I ordered crispy duck looking for something savory and managed to get burnt duck that was more bones than meat. The fried rice was crunchy and undercooked. I called management and was blown off, with the manager telling me it depends on who cooks the duck, and that's how they always do it. NEVER AGAIN, with a restaurant with no quality control and happy to serve an entree with half of it being bone and unedible was an awful experience I will always remember. Choose another place. You can thank me later.

Lost stars because of the aggressive delivery driver who didn't believe that when you order online, your tip is also paid in a designated box at that stage. He insisted there was no tip and angrily demanded one, but we don't carry cash for extra tipping, and felt very uncomfortable with his behavior. He made a scene in front of neighbors about how it was awful for him (emphasized several times) that we didn't tip, even though we absolutely did and always do! Even dropped the bag of food on the ground instead of handing it over. Family could hear his furious voice from the parking lot clear into the apartment complex. The third missing star is the disappointment of rising prices on everything including simple vegetable dishes, which are now the cost of what the seafood dishes were before the price hike. Found several hard pieces in our chicken (5-6 sharp bones and one thing that crunched like glass) and sauce that smelled fermented. I don't feel this quality and treatment is worth the current prices and unfortunately lost much desire for this place.
