This location historically has had great service and food. As of late....not so much. As with most places, service is very slow and the wait and kitchen staff is overextended. The food is ok for the basic stuff but anything more complicated than scrambled eggs you are taking your chances. If you order pick up you should check out your order before you leave. You may get home and be disappointed.

There was a little wait but the service and food was good. My children were happy and ate EVERYTHING on their plates. That’s good enough for me!

This is my go to place for down home comfort food. The service is always stellar and I have never been disappointed with any of their menu options. (I highly recommend their slow cooked roast beef!) I would like it if they brought back Uncle Herschel's breakfast. As an added bonus their country store is an amazing place to shop for gifts and unique items and my grandson LOVES the old fashioned candies that are no longer sold in regular stores.

Portion of French Toast very small. Manager offered no compensation. Corporate give free dessert when I expressed that I would probably not return. This is the Adult portion.

On January 4 2022 it was my 65th birthday. My husband and I ate supper at the cracker barrel in Chesapeake. Our waitress was Scarlett. She was fabulous. When I told her it was my birthday she went to get me a dessert. When she came back to our table she had paid for our meal and a piece of cake for me. It was all I could do not to cry. I have never been as touch by an act of kindness as was by this kind gesture. We tried to pay her back but she refused. She is a one of kind person and cracker barrel is lucky to have such an awesome person. With everything going on in this world now it is uplifting to to know there are still people in this world like Scarlett. Wishing Scarlett all the best to come to you for your kind gesture. Country store plus food too...
What could be better? Well good company!! We celebrated my uncle Joe 84th birthday there. We all had a great time. A little bit of a wait for the tables. But we had a large group, took 3 tables. Thank you all for helping with the birthday party...
