White Crown Cafe

I've only had the fish, because it's THAT good. This is my first time dining in, and it's the busiest I've ever seen it. I've gone in to pick up my to-go orders. The service was very friendly. Overall, it seemed like a friendly crowd. I learned that it's necessary to make reservations on a Friday night, especially during lent (great fish). They were so busy that they had to turn people away.. We had a bit of a wait for our food due to the unusual circumstances. It was worth it. The prices are fair.

I hadn't actually been to White Crown until last year. That is a travesty. They have a somewhat limited selection of beer but the prices are untouchable. Drinks are good but again you don't find a lot of high end liquor here. What you will find is exceptional food at prices that are extremely reasonable. The fish and burgers are among my favorites but I haven't had anything I didn't like. I'm not someone who likes fancy joints so this down to earth place with friendly staff and clients is perfect.

Dined in for the first time. One of the few places that has sour kraut balls, slightly overcooked, but still pretty good.(although served with 1000 island ew) Had a steak sandwich and a beer. My sister had the chicken Philly and nephew had the turkey BLT. Food was fresh and really very good. Decent neighborhood bar and grill.

I have ate here for years and both the food and the prices are great, but no more !! A couple weeks ago I was there on a Friday night for dinner. I went to the restroom and as I came out of the stall an employee (didn't know she was an employee) also came out of a stall. I washed my hands and proceeded to dry them while the employee RINSED her hands under water ( no soap) and wiped them on her pants. I followed her out of the bathroom where she turned right and went straight into the kitchen. I told the two people I was with to see if they found it as disgusting as I did... I then flagged down our waitress to make sure she was an employee in the kitchen, to which she answered yes. I then proceeded to let her know what I witnessed. She went into the kitchen and returned a couple minutes later stating that the OWNER said that it was OK because they had a sink in the kitchen where she would wash her hands and wear gloves. I still feel she should have washed her hands because between the bathroom and that kitchen sink she touched other things ( one being the bathroom door knob) that she contaminated!! 🤢🤮
