La Fiesta

On 12/03/2020 at 5:40pm, I arrived at La Fiesta to eat dinner by myself. Since we are in the middle of a Pandemic with cases rising, I asked to sit outside. I was told that they were not allowing people to sit outside because it was "too cold." For the record, it was 53 degrees outside when I arrived. I asked to speak to a manager and explained that I was a longtime customer and had moved to Virginia but was back in town for the day and would really like to eat outside. I restated that we were in the middle of a pandemic, and if they could make an exception and allow me to sit outside, I would appreciate it. The manager literally responded with "No, we are not allowing anyone to sit outside." I found this response to be incredibly disappointing. If you have customers who are willing to eat in 53 degree weather, but it is too cold for your workers to serve them, buy some heat lamps.

I love this restaurant and have been a regular patron for years, but sadly they are simply not enforcing the masking mandate. I understand that those who choose to dine in will remove their masks to eat, but a large party entering your establishment and waiting for a table with no masks on is a fineable offense, and the management simply is ignoring this behavior. I feel bad for them because it is the selfishness and ignorance of these customers that puts them in the situation of weighing risks of a fine versus loss of business. The staff appears to be masking appropriately. I won't be ordering takeout here again in the near future. Customer safety should be the first concern.

We absolutely loved this food! My husband had the Burrito Rio Grande recommended by our AMAZING waiter, Jose! He said it was the best burrito he has ever had! I had the Chicken Soup, simple but excellent. I had a side of refried beans because I fancy myself a critic of them. They were very tasty! Seriously don’t miss a chance to eat here!
