Di Costanza Sandwich

5 Stars are not enough. Wow! Wow! Wow! After so many attempts to find that special umph that makes your taste buds jump, ladies and gentlemen I surrender. OMG! my young son echoed! 40 years it has been since my last visit to the East Coast and Diconstanzas has not shorted the effort. Everything, and I do mean everything was SUPERB! I truly do not know what else could be done to make a Cheese Steak any better. The prep, the roll, the grilled onions, the peppers, the tomatoes whew! Diconstanzas, the originator of the Italian sandwich! Hands down, THE ABSOLUTE BEST!

I had gotten two cheese steak's for myself and a work colleague. I always forget about DiCostanza's. I had called a local competitor but it was not picking up. Lucky me because I had one of the best cheese steaks in a great while. They are huge sandwiches. You get your money's worth. Enough for lunch then the half later for dinner. Very good quality meat. I work in the area and will be going back.

I used to not eat much hoagie even when i was living down South Philly. I moved around the area less than a year now. I tried their hoagies and at first not being able to have lettuce in my hoagie was different to me. It's really good and now im eating it at least once a week. When im back from trucking on the road. They also have cheeses steaks on the menu. It can get busy on Saturday and the wait can be a long minute. That's not stopping the customers from getting their hoagies tho. Order in ahead if possible for pick up. The bread used for the hoagie is good. Try their Nigerian and Italian hoagies. Nice people and family owned.

Just read some of the articles on the cork board that describes the history of this long standing legend known as the original hoagie shop. Hand crafted by the 3rd generation master, always a delicious work of loving art. No need for lettuce, I suggest trying the roasted long hots though! Also offers the giant 2 serving roll option. Call ahead at lunch time or plan to wait for awhile. I've enjoyed well over a hundred of this must have experience!

I can not complain about these hoagie! I have been going here all my life. I remember the 3rd street location. I have tried to find a hoagie to rival Di Costanza and it is impossible! This place is timeless. They are top knoch! I prefer the Italian. Trust me you have not lived until you have tasted theirs. Heaven on Earth. Keep up the excellent service. Life is a little better!
