Applebee's

So We had gone to Applebee’s in Athens for dinner tonight. When the host asked how many was in our party, we said 2 and he said the wait time was 10-15 minutes . So we said we would wait, and sat on the bench that no one was anywhere around. Then he told us because of covid regulations, we would have to wait outside, and that he would text us, when a table became available. There again, no problem.... but then we start to see all these people go in and none coming out, so I called to make sure they had my phone number correct, when they texted me... We walk into Applebee’s, and there is 5 couples sitting in the place where John and I were told we could not sit due to “Covid Regulations “ To which I asked the host, why was it ok for them to sit, but for us we could not? This little teenage boy, looked at me and said, because there table is almost ready, then he had the worst attitude, slinging our stuff on the table, and walking off... Needless to say we will not be going back to Applebee’s in Athens again. It is ashamed that they let their employees talk to customers any kind of way. If it wasn’t ok for us to sit there and wait, it shouldn’t have been ok for anyone else to either!
