Cracker Barrel

Merchandising displays were some of the best I've seen traveling southeast! Gals were super sweet and I wish I could name drop. But on Friday April 29, 2022... you'll know based on which of the items we purchased and enjoyed visiting for a quick mental break on a 2 day road trip through Tennessee. Show this to your boss.. you guys rocked my day.

It's Cracker barrel. As good as any I have visited. Plenty of food and friendly service. The sawmill gravy is still a bit thick and more flour than required, but that's my taste buds. I'm from the south, it should be more like gravy and less like a thick spread with a couple of sausage chunks. If you're traveling and need a good start and a big breakfast, this Cracker Barrel is as good as any I have visited, but if you have visited 1, you've seen them all.

I’m incredibly disappointed with the push to sell alcohol at Cracker Barrel. Whoever had that idea is clearly not reading the clientele very well. Beer at Cracker Barrel is just wrong. I am not against alcohol, just against it at Cracker Barrel. Did you really need to that? It’s supposed to be the Old Country Store! We get rushed in, rushed out, go to the shop, now here’s beer…not to mention quality has gone down the drain. Maybe you all are focused on the wrong thing…

Food is good. My server was set up to fail. Newer server and she had no support. She was swamped and I asked others to help us to help her. Managers in plain clothes moving about but doing servers jobs but not managing is what we saw. Yes we will return but take care of your people so they can give good service. Try preaching a team approach? Idk but it wasn't pretty. Saturday 1/19 @ 500pm.

We always eat at Cracker Barrel’s coast to coast. Today was 45min wait, no surprise on a Sunday after church. Server was busy took him a while to get our drink order. Understandably on a busy Sunday. We sat for almost an hour waiting in our food, the server came by to refill drinks and I think he realized he forgot about us. He then brought out our food which was cold. We expected him to say something and he didn’t. We realized we should have said something, but we didn’t. We ate what was edible. Went to pay, no military discount and we told the manager what happened and she shrugged it off. We have corporate phone number. This is a really bad look for a great chain. Don’t eat here. Fair warning.

We've eaten at many Cracker Barrel restaurants across the USA and were very disappointed with this location. My husband ordered his eggs over easy and even ordered toast, in addition to his biscuits, just so he could "dunk". As you can see in the photo his eggs were very over cooked and the second photo shows his biscuits barely had gravy on them. Then there was my order which was supposed to be a BLT with a fried egg. It came as a "T" with an egg and burnt toast. I borrowed some "B" from my husband and did without the "L" because our server dropped our food and never returned. I gave 2 stars because the restaurant and store were clean and the store was well stocked.
