Panera Bread

Panera Bread was always my favorite place for a quick and delicious lunch. However, the quality of the food at this location has definitely gone downhill in the last few years. What used to be a restaurant that I could rely on for fresh ingredients has resorted to using rotten lettuce and extremely overripe avocado that was carelessly slopped in my mom’s salad. Not only that, but the bacon on my mom’s sandwich was raw and inedible. Also, both of our salads had the putrid taste of lettuce that was on the verge of being expired. I also had the Modern Caprese Sandwich which came cold and tasted really disgusting to the point where I had to spit it out. The only reason I have continued to come back here is for the bakery which has always been phenomenal when they do have bakery items in stock. However, they often run out of their bagels, brownies, cookies, etc. by noon which does not make any sense. After my last visit, I was so disappointed and do not plan on coming back. It is such a shame that this restaurant throws quality out the window and instead serves food that just becomes waste.

It’s super rare that I give a negative review or complain. In fact, I prefer to point out the positive things, but after multiple bad experiences at this Panera Bread I’m beyond frustrated. Every single time I come here something is wrong with my order. I just spoke with the manager who didn’t seem to care or take my concerns seriously at all. Some staff is super nice and some are incredibly rude. Get it together Athens Panera!!!

My first and last time going there. The prices were outrageous, had to ask for two cups, wasn't told we had to go to another area to pick-up the order, didn't get any avocado in our sandwiches, and the food was terrible, especially the bread--it was hard as a rock. Paid $30 for two people, and, afterwards, went across the street to Popeye's because the portions we received were that of a concentration camp! And, the service was 100% substandard, too.
