Best sub shop in Asheville. Been going here since I moved here about 9 years ago and I’ve never had a bad experience. Food is top notch, atmosphere is awesome, and the staff is always super friendly. I don’t get to go enough because it’s across town but when I do plan on having Lenny’s it makes my day that much better.

**Review edited 10/16/23** I went back 3 months after my original review and they are BACK BABY! It was everything I missed. I almost went back to order a second. Lenny's this anemic often vegetarian thanks you for bringing my guilty pleasure back to par. (Original review) Food tastes great but in the last 2 months they have gotten stingy? It used to be full up philly from end to end now I get this anemic plop of meat in the middle with almost nothing at either end. I tried ordering in person and then take out so see if it was just me but 2 weeks apart different ordering styles and it's the same. The sandwich went from weighing 3lb to 1lb all dropped in the middle leaving dry sad end of mostly bread. I miss my indulgent mess of a meal. Probably going to go back for a search for a replacement and try again in a few months.

I was in Asheville for an appt, and happened to drive by at lunch time. This was my first visit. I had the Italian sub, which was very good! It had a lot of meat and generous toppings, on really good bread! I also had a White Chocolate Macadamia nut cookie. The staff were very busy, but accommodating and friendly. I was happy to see Barq's Root Beer on the soft drink dispenser!

Great find! I have been looking for a good ol fashioned sub shop that gives you a LOT of good meats and toppings without charging you an arm and leg. We both had the medium chicken philly. I am the plain jane and prefer it plain with cheese. And it did NOT disappoint. My hubs on the other hand gets everything but the kitchen sink and his was HUGE. Delicious and we will be back when we are doing errands on Tunnel.
