Rise N Shine

My husband and I had breakfast this morning on a rare date - it smelled incredible when we walked in. We are both vegetarian, and were so happy to see so many veg options (local tempeh and veg sausage!), local eggs, Chaga tea.....friendly service and a good vibe!! I’m so happy we gave Rise n Shine a try. We’ll definitely be back!!

It is a very low-key type of breakfast place. Not fancy at all. But they've got free range eggs and tempe to appeal to a wide variety of chilled out breakfast folk. They have outdoor dining available, at least when it's warm out. The owners and everyone I've seen working there are very respectful of people's differences - of which people seem to have a lot lately, if you know what I mean. They won't infringe upon your privacy by asking your medical status, they will allow you to practice social distancing and any other safety measures that you feel are necessary without judging you, and they will stand up for your bodily autonomy and right to independent self-direction. They have an atmosphere of inclusivity and actively take a stand towards protecting human rights around the world.

I love eating at Rise ‘n Shine Cafe. I often bring new friends with me or have meetings with people who haven’t been there before, to spread the word. They invariably love the food and the range of options as much as I do. And there’s something mysterious that goes on too, our conversations always feel relaxed and inspired. I attribute at least some of that to the ambiance and the general spirit of the place. Feels like home away from home.

Was in town for business and heard they were a free face friendly establishment and decided to have lunch there because of that. Thanks for standing for freedom Rise and Shine! I enjoyed my lunch and will come back next time I’m in town. I had a burger , no complaints! My friend and Aunt both had the Avocado blt and were also pleased.

Extremely Friendly stop. We went there for breakfast today, 10/5/21, and had a good meal that was well prepared and reasonably priced. The service was above and beyond. They have the best blueberry jam ever. I NEED that recipe! We had decaf and regular coffee, fruit with yogurt and granola, bacon and eggs, home fries and biscuits. Yum!

Had a pleasant experience here! As someone with a medical disability, it was comforting in knowing I had a choice not to wear my mask. Other businesses should be following the same requirement given our protections under the ADA. The staff were very polite and the blueberry pancakes were delicious! Definitely my new favorite breakfast spot in town. I will be back!

My wife and I were looking for breakfast in Asheville on a busy Saturday. Everywhere downtown had an hour or longer wait time just to get seated. Rise n Shine Cafe was a hidden gem that was a super short drive from downtown and we were able to seat ourselves immediately. Our waiter was super friendly and the food was phenomenal. Recommending this place to everyone! I highly recommend the blueberry pancakes.

We LOVE this restaurant! Everything is delicious and the staff are super friendly. We also love that they value local and organic foods. Lots of yummy options! And praise God we didn't have to wear a mask to go from the door to the table only to take it off once we got to the table because of course, "covid" stops being a threat once you are sitting down at the table to eat. Thank you thank you for standing up for our human sovereign right to choose our own health freedom! I am from Asheville (born and raised) and as a local, I fully support this business for their food, customer service, ethics, values, policies, and freedom of choice.

This place is amazing..I've been wanting to try it for a long time and finally stopped in...man I wish I had gone sooner! Their food is crafted with love, and you can taste it in each bite! Much of the food is locally grown, and it comes out in a plate that looks like a piece of art! The staff is just as incredible...the environment was welcoming, friendly, and relaxed. I will definitely be there again!
