The Grey Eagle Taqueria

The Grey Eagle is my favorite venue in Asheville! I suggest going early and getting some food which is fresh & delicious! They have the best empanadas I've had anywhere seriously! I can't speak for the rest of the food cuz I'm hooked on the empanadas, but it looks good! I'm going to have to force myself next time I go to eat something different I'm sure it will not disappoint. Every show I've been to there has been excellent! This night was a tribute to John Prine. Excellent show - excellent musicians they did not disappoint.

I've eaten at the Grey Eagle awhile back and enjoyed when they had their food truck downtown but until this past weekend I had never been to a show there. It was such a great place to listen to music. The venue is on the smaller side which actually added to the experience. I had a great view (3rd row) and I loved not having to wait in lines for drinks or the restroom. There's even an outdoor back fenced in area with tables, benches, etc. and a tv to see the show when you step out back. The service was friendly and I could tell they had everything planned out so well!

Amazing Venue for music, good food & drinks!!! Food/Bev -- food is really tasty. Even if you're headed for a show, be sure to check out their tacos and it THE BEST Mexican street corn EVER according the wife. Bar can get crowded, but they are fast with service. Don't have many bourbons, but oh well. Scene -- such an awesome venue to see a show. Saw Susto here on 2/16 and it was one of best venues we've seen them in!! Not a ton of space so get there when doors open if you want a good seat. Overall fantastic music venue with great food and good service!!!
