Ultimate Ice Cream

OH MY GOSH YES!!!! I hesitantly ordered the pumpkin spice ice cream because, let's be honest, pumpkin spice ice cream always tastes synthetic and mildly gross. I took one bite of the pumpkin spice ice cream here and was low key freakin out because this is the pumpkin spice ice cream you dream about but had given up beliving existed. It was so so fresh and they were heavy handed on the spice which I lovedddd. The spices tasted fresh as well. Everything about it was perfection. I also ordered the chocolate raspberry truffle. Absolutely delicious. I highly recommend paring the pumpkin with the chocolate raspberry as they were amazing together! I need to also emphasis the texture of this ice cream. They have perfected it. It is this thick and creamy texture which most brands do not even come close to. Ice cream is usually a thinner consistency which is absolutely not as enjoyable to eat. This had more of a gelato consistency to it which was heavenly. Run, don't walk to this place. You will not be disappointed! Note to the owners: Can you PLEASE open up a location in the Raleigh area? We just don't have any places as good as this. I need this pumpkin ice cream every day 💗💗💗💗

First time, and we were pleasantly surprised! We didn't even know that this place existed, but we're glad it does. The kahlua mocha almond was rich, chocolatey, and full of almonds. Exactly what I was looking for. The mulled cider sorbet was perfectly sweet, spice-y, and loaded with fresh apple flavor. Both were great, and worth getting again.

My Mom, who is 93 years old, had a horrible stint at Mission (see that review) and had to go to rehab afterwards. She'd been through a lot and, as she improved, really wanted a hot fudge sundae. Someone at The Laurels (wonderful people!) recommended Ultimate and Oh My Gosh. They were RIGHT! The ice cream was amazing - some of the best I've ever had - and the place was wonderful. We loved the location, the vibe, the rainbows and all that means. We are HUGE fans of you, Ultimate. Thank you so much for making a hard time much less so - and for doing things the right way.

There's no ice cream place better. Not anywhere. Why not have at least one daily sorbet to allow a treat for the growing number of vegans? The lemon custard s'cream is SO unusually exquisite, if I ran Ultimate, i'd have that speciality on offer every day. Thank you for giving East Asheville something high quality, continuing the top quality treat Ron started out with.
