Shoney's

A Fast Meal During the the two week road trip with my grandson, we needed a good meal before hand. Our choices were limited so we went with Shoney's. I was surprised to see a full bar in the restaurant. We were seated right away and my grandson didn't hesitate to choose his meal from the breakfast bar. Our waitress, Chasity, was very nice and attentive. She mentioned that the pancakes that were offered on the breakfast bar were made fresh. Each time she served his pancakes, they were hot off the grill. All in all, we filled up and moved out.

We saw on the morning news that the were giving away free eclipse glasses and a moon pie. We drove there in 40 min. We arrived and found only a few customers and was told they were out of the glasses. The buffet food was cold the syrup did not tast good. I feel this was a ploy to trick customers in the door. Nice play, they got my $20 bucks.😉

First off- my waitress Chloe was just great. I told management how nice ut us to have good service. I usually come for there incredible breakfast buffet cause I am a fat boy who loves mounds of bacon but I took a chance and tried "fish night". It was good. But i wish it was better. They had catfish on the bone but they way over cooked it. For $13 the fish should have had something to make it stand out. That said- Love the atmosphere and staff. Love the whole vibe. Gonna stick with ya'lls breakfast for now but am very happy from this visit tonight.

Hadn't been in a Shoneys in years and gave this one a try. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility was clean too. Now on to the food. The breakfast was pretty rough. Maybe a little better than the complementary breakfast you get at a mid level hotel. Not good at all very low quality. One thing that surprised me at this Shoneys location is they have a Bar. Maybe you need to get drunk before you eat there to make the food better. I doubt it!

Nice enough I guess. Our waitress was amazing.... Very kind, attentive. But the health food score was an 80. That's not good enough when you're serving food buffet style. I really hope they improve it quickly. I'm not a huge fan of the chain but it's hubby's fav and it was Father's day, so I know we'll be back despite the 40 minute drive. I'll admit I was pretty impressed by the size and layout of the place (they have a full bar!). I ordered a veggie omelet that was pretty good. The buffet selection was mediocre unfortunately. Pork and starches, greasy veggies. I would have appreciated a little more variety for sure.
