Sticky Rice

I used to really enjoy their food, everything was tasty and fresh. One day I had ordered the herb chicken fried rice for pickup — never had an issue before. This plate had a pebble in it. I had pickup the food a little before close so when I found it (and I mean “found” like I had chewed on it) I the store was already closed so I contacted the next day (when the were closed all-day) to leave a voicemail. I was hoping for a call back but never received one. I figured they just didn’t get my message, so after waiting all week I called again (on a day the were open). The employees kept telling me that their managers were out and the didn’t see anything in the books about it, but that they would put it in there for a call back. I never heard anything. I wasn’t even too upset about the pebble, I was more disappointed it seemed like my issue was avoided and ignored by upper management. I used to love supporting, now I don’t even feel right to go back.

This location is take-out/delivery only. I ordered the crispy rolls, pad thai, and pho with meatballs for a big lunch since I skipped breakfast. I did order during lunch rush hour, so the wait was longer. Everything was packaged pretty well! No food spills. First, the crispy rolls were delicious! Although Sticky Rice is a Thai/Lao food place, the pho here was surprisingly good; even better than some of the pho I've tried at some Vietnamese restaurants. The broth was very flavorful, but the meatballs weren't my favorite. While I was craving pad thai the most, it was actually my least favorite. The portion was pretty big but severely lacking in flavor. I didn't eat much of it, but after lunch my stomach started to hurt. A couple hours later, I heated up the pad thai leftovers because I was hungry. Again, my stomach became upset, and I had to use the toilet. and yeah I also gave the pad thai a third try cause I was desperate and had midnight cravings lol. And same story.. had to use the toilet right after. Safe to say something in that pad thai was off.

We used to enjoy dining here for lunch quite often in years past. Too many times and too many excuses since COVID on why they won’t have dine in service yet. I was finally told today by the gentleman on the phone that they don’t care about any customers they might lose as a result. Sad. UPDATE - the "whole industry" is NOT short staffed. That excuse worked last year. Not today.

I have eaten here and always had a great experience except the last couple of times. They just charge me for beef and shrimp and did not put any beef and shrimp. They did not hardly put any vegetables and I had zero soy sauce like I requested. Very specifically, it's already happened a couple of times. Very very frustrating for me.

Ordered online and when I came to pick it up it wasn’t ready yet which is fine but they wouldn’t let my 5 yr old, who was having a potty emergency, use the restroom while we waited for it. So, an expensive taikwondo gi was ruined. To be fair, the food is good and the reason for the 2nd star. But not sure I’ll be back anytime soon
