Grits Cafe

My family and I stopped in today to try this restraunt. We ordered the grits fritters as an appetizer and they were delicious! My wife ordered the BLFGT bacon, lettuce, fried green tomatoe sandwich and my daughter and I shared the Rocking Chair Grass Fed hamburger. They were both so good. The portions were huge, the decor was great, and the staff was polite and fast. We will absolutely be back to try more foods.

Outstanding food, excellent customer service and not expensive at all! This place has a wonderful atmosphere in which to have either an informal lunch with friends or a formal dinner with your special love. We were here with friends and we just loved it. I ordered the patty melt with a potato soup bisque. My wife had the turkey club. Even the unsweet tea was good. Every one of us completely enjoyed the experience. Great place and I highly recommend it!

So how do you top all the previous experiences at The Grits Cafe in Forsyth??? You have Collin, who is studying vocal performance at Mercer University sing a bit of Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana before dessert arrives! I wish Google would publish my short video instead of a still pic! This guy can SING! We heard him sing a piece from Puccini's La Bohème for another party in the back of the house, and other patrons were sneaking peeks around the corner to see who was singing! So we asked him to sing for us, and sing he did! BTW, get over there and get a table before he leaves for grad school in August, 2022! As for the singing, he says, "All you have to do is ask!" What a fantastic bonus to an already special treat! As usual, our meal was top notch. No complaints! And the dessert? Chocolate chip bread pudding with candied pecans in créme Anglaise, and a pecan fan on top!
