Five Guys

10-21-19 dinner. So let’s try something new today. I’ve drove past this fast food/restaurant several times in the past and have never stopped. Everyone in the location was polite, thanks, have a nice day, good evening, so forth and so on. Good job.. On the other hand the location felt dirty. All around the drink machine look like it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. There was trash throughout the location. So you lose a point for cleanliness. For a burger, fries and a drink my bill was a bit more than 15 bucks. Don’t get me wrong the food was good however the food was also overpriced I felt. I’ve tried another gourmet Burger location in Monroe called burger grind I believe. The food was equally or if not better and way cheaper. I would return to a five guys in the future but it would not be my first choice.

The main reason I like it, is because it’s a combination of good service and good food. They are always nice! The food is fresh and hot! It’s a little pricey for a burger joint, compared to others, but it does taste better than most burgers around, so I’ll pay an extra buck or two for better food lol. Most importantly, the folks there have always been polite and helpful!

Still making great burgers. Brought my buddy here recently while on a road trip. He's in his seventies, loves burgers and had bought us both BK about a week before. When he mentioned being hungry and us finding a hamburger joint, I figured it was time to introduce him to Five Guys. Staff was friendly, dining area and restroom were clean, wait time was short, burgers were cooked perfect, fries were hot and fresh. Nothing to complain about at all.

Excellent food except for Five Guys' corporate restrictions of no salt or pepper on their hamburgers. This is just plain dumb. A little seasoning would make their hamburgers almost perfect. What idiot made this policy? I spent $36 for 3 hamburgers last week, and had to disassemble them just to add salt and pepper. Don't try this in your car...

Meh. Five Guys is generally pretty good, but my experience here was below average. The burger I had was pretty soggy and overall underwhelming. The fries were fine but really pretty bland. The Cajun fries are a step up if you go that route but still not my top choice. Prices are high. Honestly it's about as expensive of a burger you can get at a fast food/fast casual restaurant. There are better options on Thomas road, let alone West Monroe.
