Ferdos Mediterranean Restaurant

Tried this place today for lunch. I was unimpressed. The food just doesn't have much going for it and the portions are tiny. The pita was really tough and the hummus didn't have much flavor and it was kind of watery. The gyro hardly had any meat in it. The pita to meat ratio was way off. It felt like I was eating a plain pita with a bit of flavoring in it. Finally, the owner was outside smoking and then I saw him inside in the kitchen. This feels very unprofessional. I hope he washed his hands.

Ferdos has been my number one choice to eat at since I came to The University of Toledo in 2016. The food is fantastic, and the hummus is always my favorite part. There is nothing better than fresh, warm pita bread. They care about their customers and it really shows. If anyone asks about restaurants close to the university, Ferdos is always my number one answer. I have never had a wrong order and the portions are always very generous. Nothing better than friendly staff and great food.

I am new to the area, and several of my colleagues told me that this place wasn't worth it. They said that it used to be good, but that it has gone downhill over the past few years. I really wish I had listened to them. I've eaten a lot of Lebanese food, and the hummus here is some of the most boring I've ever had. It is too textured and weirdly watery. Sidon and The Beirut are far superior as far as hummus goes. The portions are small as well. I left lunch hungry, which is a bummer since it is definitely not cheap. Also, the owner was out front smoking, which is kind of gross. I should have listened to my colleagues and eaten elsewhere. I doubt I'll be back here.

The location is ideal, right next to the UT campus. The dining room is always clean, the service friendly, the atmosphere calm, and the food is good too! I recommend the chicken shawarma but they have a lot of solid vegetarian options too. Nice casual atmosphere, and good food. Our server was fantastic - and it's rare that I say that about any place.

Ferdos is one of the best restaurants in Toledo. The portion sizes are ginormous, tthe atmosphere is great, and the service is top notch! My go to dish is definitely the hummus platter with chicken. The vegetables are grilled to perfection, your plate is loaded with up, and you leave stuffed. If you haven’t visited Ferdos lately, you’re missing out!

Awesome food, great friendly family owned business, and the staff is super friendly. We love the food and love coming here. The food is flavorful and always fresh and delicious. I cannot say enough about this place. We always look forward to stopping here for lunch whenever we are in the area. Keep up the great work. 😁👍

I’ve been going to Ferdo’s for almost 20 years. Things have gotten progressively worse. My husband and I went for Valentine’s Day. I ordered the hummus and more, which is usually amazing, but my meat was cold this time. He ordered the salmon but it was woefully undercooked. Even crazier, when the owner came over, we showed him. He explained to us that the salmon *should* be undercooked; it was “wild farmed” and “freshly frozen” and was just like sushi. Let’s stick to Mediterranean please, Ferdo’s. 🥴🥴🥴
