El Toro

If you don't visit this little gem while you're in Savanah, you are missing out. It may not look like much from the outside, but the lady (there was only one working) was sweet as could be and all smiles, the inside was very clean and the food was some of the best I've had in the area. The menu was definitely a different combination of Italian and Dominican, but it pays off. My wife had the shrimp quesadillas and I had the stewed chicken with rice. Both were amazing. Even with a beer, we only wound up paying 25 bucks. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try!

I had a late lunch. This place is truly a hidden gem. I had the Tostones for an appetizer off the Dominican side - hot, crispy and awesomely good all by themselves, but that garlic sauce was too good not to dip! I chose a pasta off the Italian side - Spaghetti Al Pomodoro e Basilico. The sauce was a rich, creamy red sauce that was fully packed with flavor! While the restaurant itself is neat, clean and unassuming, their food is not. I will definitely be back!!!!

Went to El Toros Friday May 26,2018 while my husband and I were visiting from Greensboro NC. I ❤️ appetizers. We stayed across the street so we decided to eat something different instead of regular American food. We ordered the Papa Rellenos. They were only $2 a piece. We got two. I was upset bc we got there at closing. We should have ordered 10 if we had known. They were awesome. We also ordered the stewed pork. Awesome choice as well. Like the previous post said they are a hidden gem.

Para mi gente hispana en Savannah, se que somos pocos pero tienen que saber que este lugar es fantastico!! So happy I stopped in to eat here. Im Cuban from Miami but I grew up with Dominican friends and this meal made me think of back home and the dominican cuisine that is cooked in Miami which is a mecca for all kinds of cuisine. Will definitely be back.

Food here was amazing. We have eaten at many fine dining reasturants and the quality, composition and execution of the food here belongs in a high end restaurant. The chef has excellent skills in the kitchen. The area the resturant located in is not as cool as the food at this restaurant. Could use surroundings that are as sophisticated as the cuisine.

I absolutely love this place. The food was amazing, the service and hospitality over all was far beyond what I expected from a savannah restaurant. The lady was very accommodating. (Being that I am on a strict diet) she was amazing with our children as well figuring out what they wanted. This will be a place I will come to eat at often. Not only because the food was good but the way we were treated was amazing.
