Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I've been to Dickey's several times in different locations through the years and have always enjoyed it, but this was without a doubt the worst experience I've had from them. Look at this. I couldn't eat a good amount of the brisket because the guy behind the counter cut extremely fatty pieces. Everything was dry, including the Mac n cheese and baked potato casserole like it had been sitting out all day. That roll was stale too. Horrible presentation all around. And to top it all off none of it was warm. The guy behind the counter didn't even seem to want to be there and would've rather spent the last hour closing everything down and putting things up, so I felt like a bother even being there. He didn't ask if I wanted sauce (every other location puts it in the bag without ever asking) and didn't ask if I wanted a drink either (I wanted one).. It seemed like this Dickey's really didn't want my business that evening (6-16-2019). Attaching a photo. I regret spending my money there.

I just left the and had the worst service you can imagine. The fat little guy behind the counter started off by telling me they were out of sliders after I ordered four. Ok stuff happens. Then he gets an attitude because I all for sausage instead of the brisket he already had it. It's not like he had to walk to get it. All he had to do was turn around and get it out of the case. Then I ask for the baked potato casserole and they ran out so I got my other two sides in mac and cheese. He had an attitude the whole time. Checkout comes and I order a drink. Guess whos fountain drinks don't work..... If you don't have main dishes, you don't have sides, you don't have drinks, and your only employee has an attitude, why the hell are you open?

Menu board has no prices, employees appear to make up prices as they go. Customer food order area is being used as a storage closet for convenience store fixtures and trash. Employees ignore customers as they stand around hoping for service. Questionable food handling practices. I walked away... refused to eat anything at this location. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Nasty!

All I can say is WOW and not in a good way either..went here last night for dinner, brought it home and was SADLY disappointed. Baked potato was dry and stale no toppings put on top, asked for a sausage plate and got cheese and jalapeno sausage, its a good thing we like spicy food in the household because if not that would have been another issue. meat was not warm. Only one person working, bless him I know he was working hard but it literally takes forever to get your meal especially if you order 4 items. I will be going to the other Dickies in Rowlett by the Target. I dont even know how this place is still open.

I met a friend here today for lunch. This establishment is filthy and you had to fight the flies for your food. The guys behind the counter were fine but everything else is extremely poor. I will rethink eating at any Dickie's if they allow this type of operation to carry their name. Avoid and go to the next exit.
