Cracker Barrel

We had a great experience!!! I took a friend here for lunch on his birthday and we ended up with two waitresses (one in training). The services was outstanding and we ate until we couldn't eat any more! Thanks Cracker Barrel for, well, being the best restaurant with an old fashion home style feel!

The food is good. The service is decent. The only problem I have is how they pack everyone together like cattle in going to market!!!! Asked for a quiet place in an almost empty room and the hostess acted like I was being a nuisance🤨 Then started placing people all around us. Our quiet time to enjoy breakfast and discuss very important family issues was ruined. 👎

I ordered the roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes and brown gravy. The meat was in small bite size or smaller pieces and was about 1/3 fat pieces. Good flavor and tender just wasn't much there. Mashed potatoes were lumpy and cold. Gravy was a joke!!! Was cold and actually had a skin on it because it had set around so long!!!! Fluffy cheese squash casserole looked like a pile of puke and the bite it took tasted awful. Gave this place it's second chance and I won't be going back to Murray Cracker Barrel. BOOO!!!!!

Cracker Barrel will always hold a special place in my heart. It's a weird little country store, with all kinds of knick knacks and oddities. The staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend the eggs and bacon. Simple I know, but nothing beats an over easy egg and thick strips of crispy bacon in the morning.
