This place is absolutely a hidden gem in Monroe! They consistently have incredible food, and is a place my family has frequented for nearly a decade. I highly recommend the hibachi chicken with extra carrots, as well as the vegetables rolls. I HIGHLY recommend Sake Express to locals and visitors alike.

Still can't go inside but the hibachi steak is great. Decent quality steak, sweet carrot perfection and their sauce is fantastic. The meal is enough for two people but I ate it all like a fat kid. It's drive thru only right now because of covid19.

Found a hair deep fried onto my Eggroll, called the place back to tell them, they got an attitude trying to tell me it was pork. Umm no, it has a split end, it's a hair. Very disappointing...

When I call this place drive-thru Japanese, I mean it with the utmost respect and adoration. There should be more places like this around. I think the world would be better for it.
Teriyaki Chicken is the go-to here — served with broccoli and honey-glazed carrots over a bed of fried brown rice — though the steak, shrimp, and scallops are all good options as well. Ridiculously friendly staff, delicious food, generous portions, and they’re about the only restaurant in town that maintains a 90+ health score. Call ahead if you’re in a rush; greatness takes time.

Asked for my receipt for my food and the owner insisted she was too busy to print it. When i said i needed my receipt she refused and told me that if i don’t pull away from the window she would refund my money and not give me my food. After that i left without my food or money.
