Luby's

My Mom really enjoys Luby's so I joined her for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, particularly the veggies. Nothing was overcooked and I observed them trading out serving trays for fresh trays of the same item. Help was offered promptly to my Mom to carry her tray. That was a nice gesture. Thank you for convincing me to try cafeteria food again.

I have been coming here since I was ten years old and back then it was great. Recently started taking my family here on Wednesday because kids eat free and I thought veggies and not just the same old burger or chicken nuggets would be good. However after the last couple of times we visited I have decided that we won't go back. There isn't much of a selection and somehow our food is cold. Definitely not worth the money we save!

My experience at Luby's today was a very disappointing one as usual. There was first not employees to serve on the counter. The counter wasn't completely set up there were half the vegetables on the counter and the bread was dry. No one seemed to be in charge. The young lady serving didn't know whether the soup was Gumbo or not. The dessert counter wasn't complete and when I finally made my way to the cashier she had to call the manager to log her on to the cash register. The days of long lines and a bustling dinning room seems to be a thing of the past. No attention to detail and no one to assist the employees who didn't know what they were serving. They need some serious leadership with that since of urgency. HELP!

In 94, I use to eat Luby's 2days a week for lunch until I found a cooked worm in my broccoli. So I decided to give them a try and Skip the broccoli. Some of the food had been setting to long. My friend and I both got cabbage, I got the last serving and he got the fresh serving from the new pan. Once we've got to the table. We where greeted by a nice gentleman. My friend cabbage was very uncooked & mines very over cooked the chicken wasn't fresh as it should have been. Mash potatoes was missing flavor. I've ate "Hospital Food" that tasted better. Luby's is like eating "School Food"!

Not sure what happened to my favorite Luby's. My food was cold and not as good as it usually is. Broccoli was hardly steamed, mashed potatoes were overcooked and had no flavor, fried fish was questionable. I asked for extra cheese sauce twice for my broccoli and it never arrived. The service has gone severely downhill. Their was only one waitress in the restaurant and there was never more than 6 tables filled. She did not know how to multi-task. I won't come back here again and I doubt this location will stay open much longer.
