Golden Chick

Well, just wanted to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this location. It's near my job, and in the past I was deemed a regular patron. I stopped going here a couple of years ago because of the long lines, rude staff, and incompetent management. However, I noticed a few years ago the entire building undergoing a structural revamp. As I drive to work, I noticed the lines weren't so long as they used to be.. I'm not sure if there's a new manager or not, but upon my visit today I experienced an entirely different atmosphere. Food was hot, service was friendly. The costs have risen significantly, and based on the portions of food you get, they still can't outweigh the competition. Churches Chicken and Chicken Express still have bigger portions. But if you're in the area, I would definitely give them a visit.

Very disappointed in this location. Not having transportation at the time I had to rely on DoorDash. They have gotten my order wrong on 3 different occasions. This last time, March 13th, I ordered fish they confirmed my order once the dasher got there they claimed someone else picked up my order which was not true. Re ordered they confirmed again they dasher got there and they claim they didn’t have fish to pick another item. I’ve noticed a pattern if you order fish late enough they claim to be out so they won’t have to drop fresh fish. Several times they leave out all condiments. It’s frustrating when you don’t have transportation. Received my new order wrong again and cold

I ordered a 3 piece and they only put in 2 pieces. The manager on duty made it completely right. I told him he didn't have to, but he made it completely right. Made that portion of my order completely over. I wish I had of got his name, but he definitely understands how customer service works. Give that man a raise and a promotion. He deserves it.

I must say this location has improved since the renovation. I ordered the fish for myself and my granddaughter and as usual it was freshly cooked and good. The dinning room and restroom were clean and orderly. The cashier named Tenisha was professional, courteous and probably one of the best workers that I’ve encountered at this location. If you’ve had bad experiences in the past give them another try now!

The food is what it is, lol. Mine came out hot and fresh, and it was cooked to perfection. My main reason for leaving this review is they are so nice at this location. The customer service is amazing from the cashiers all the way to the GM. I wish I lived out here because this would definitely be my go to location! And the GM informed us that the whole crew was new. I hope they keep up the amazing work!

I used to always get my kids the chicken strips from here. Overpriced of course but it's all right chicken strips are pretty good here never have gotten anything else other than that they also serve baked chicken I think that's a good idea in which people try to watch how much they eat. You know trying to be healthy

Visited on Oct. 19. The "spicy" tenders were not seasoned at all & were not fully cooked. The regular tenders were even worse.. under cooked & no taste. The okra was over cooked & no seasoning.. at all. The only food that was decent was the cole slaw. My picked daughter picked up my order. If I didn't live so far, I would have taken ALL that mess back! Times are hard.. I don't have money to throw away since I seldom eat out. TO SUM IT UP, THE FOOD WAS AWFUL! I WILL NOT GO TO ANOTHER GOLDEN CHICK... EVER!
