Swiss Chalet

DO NOT order from Highland Swiss Chalet. My family has been eating KW Swiss Chalet for many years, but last night marks the worst delivery experience of my entire life. Our food arrived 1h36m after dispatch. While waiting, I called the restaurant not once but twice to follow up. When placing the order, the customer rep confirmed that I could use my gift card. The delivery man, however, rejected my gift card because his machine was "outdated". He tried cheering me up, saying the chicken came straight from the rotisserie. The chicken was lukewarm at best and probably sat under heat lamps. To top everything off, my dessert was the saddest slice of apple pie. I have never had problems with the Weber or Boardwalk locations. Unfortunately, this location is ruining the Swiss Chalet name.

Many thanks for the thoughtful and personal response. — Ordered delivery direct from Swiss Chalet (not a delivery app). Food was estimated at 45 minutes. Took 2 hours 10 minutes to arrive, it was cold and the completely wrong order (wrong items, wrong name on the slip). Called and they were apologetic, promised a redo of the order. I offered to come pick up the order in order to expedite things and was given an ETA of 20 minutes. Waited at the restaurant 30 minutes after (50 total). The food was good, but not worth 3+ hours wait. I wasn’t compensated for the wait or for picking up a delivery order to fix their screwup.

I wasn't going to make this review, but seeing these other reviews makes me wonder what's happening to this location. I have been a huge fan of swiss Chalets food for a long time. Last time I ordered from this location the food was below par. I have never been disappointed with food from the chalet. But this time we almost had to order a second meal from another place because the food was so disappointing.

This is the Swiss Chalet that is closest to us. We haven’t been here in awhile. The old look was getting pretty tired and they did an awesome job with the renovations- a very inviting environment. The service was excellent so was the food. We had cheese perogies for an appetizer and we each had a quarter chicken dinner and we were stuffed - love their fries and they serve plenty of them!

Manager is super disrespectful. Tried to explain an issue with the app and wouldn't let me explain the situation where we got delievered two orders, one from the app that said "something went wrong" with no confirmation email that the order went though. We decided to uber eats instead and got both orders delivered. Manager told me to call customer service which I did three times and they told me to contact the location. Needless to say, I love swiss chalet and I'm thankful that the Manager at the weber st location was much more helpful and understanding.

Ordered for curbside, only to be told “there was no curbside” after I went in to find out what was taking so long. After half an hour at the restaurant (an hour and a half after placing my order) I asked for a refund, only to be told by the manager “refunds take 3-5 business days”. Funny how they’ll take your money on the spot, but they’ll make you wait a week to get it back. I get it’s hard to find staff around the holidays, but if you can’t find people to work, don’t open at all. I shouldn’t have my evening ruined because of poor service and bad management. Will definitely not return to this location unless management changes.
